nvidia overclocking bugged

so I have nTune installed so i can adjust my clock speeds and such from the nvidia control panel. I recently set it to a clock speed my 7800GTX cant handle without artifacting. I can't set it back to the factory clock or lower or change it what so ever. I change the sliders, press apply and it switches the sliders back to the original, unstable setting. help please?

nevermind I fixed it. for some reason i had to press cancel and then switch back to the panel again

Give Rivatuner a go, its my preferred overclocking tool.
It has an exceptional graphing tool as well.

That’s ntune for you, the only thing I would ever use it for is to double check clocks or temps from another app, but for overclocking and fan settings definitely take a look at Rivatuner
