Show Your LCD(s) setups!!!

i remember a story about how...

a cat took a nap on a macbook pro
it was so comfy that it took a twinkle
and energy surged up the water hole
causing both the cat and book to blow

if memory serves me right the caller wanted a new laptop for compensation for the emotional trauma of losing her pet cat

My setup...

veryyyyy slick...i like the simplicity of ikea shelving - lets you focus on what you should be focused on (the monitors :D)

may have to consider that shelf idea, it's a good one

Griffin PowerMate afaik, they're a programmable controller that you can use for volume/scrolling etc.

Yup, it is a Griffin Powermate. It was an impulse buy a couple years back, but I've found it pretty useful (volume, firefox tab scroller, PS brush size, Flash time line scrubber, etc.)

On that, what do you use to light behind your desk. I would love a decent method of doing that. I just use my desklight behind my monitor which is a bit tacky.

Help?

Once again, Ikea to the rescue :p (no, I do not work for Ikea or have any affiliation with them)

Yeah pretty much lol

IMO, you can't beat Ikea when it comes to bang for buck. College wasn't cheap :(

Thanks man. I wish I had dual 24's. It's actually dual 2007WFP's (IPS) and a 15" MBP. In hindsight I should have bought one 2407, then another later. I did however, make sure I left enough room for a 30 incher when I installed the shelf ;)

Wow, even if all thoses PCs are quiet on their own I bet it still gets kinda loud in there when they're all running. Sick space though!

pretty ridiculous.. what do you do for a living?

If you think this is ridiculous, keep an eye out for my future post in about 3 weeks. I haven't been able to set the room up the way I want to because I'm moving soon.

For a living I'm a Systems / Network Engineer.

Thanks,

About the loudness, being that I work in Server rooms all day long, I don't even notice the noise in here. It actually isn't that bad to begin with.

I have two 30" and I can barely find a need for both of them, much less having three. Nice setup. 30" is VERY nice when doing very large network drawings, I am a network engineer also.

Below is an updated pick of my work setup, taken again with my Treo so ignore the poor picture. Two 22" samsungs on top and two 24" dells on bottom using synergy to travel back and forth.

Hmmm, those look interesting. did you wall mount them, or are they just sitting behind your desk? Are they too big, bulbs last long? And do they just plug into a regular wall outlet, or something special?
