Have you found any better mouses? I was thinking of getting a G9 but one of the primary reasons I want a new mouse is because this one can't track fast movements. Huge problem in CoD4 because it will get stuck sometimes when I try to turn quickly. I heard that the G9 wasn't much better.

I thought about getting a Deathadder but that kind of seems like a step backwards to me since it's missing the otf sensitivity adjustments.

I'm right handed so the Lachesis doesn't look too appealing to me from an ergonomics standpoint. (not to mention I can't say I really like the design of it too much either) If it turned out to be comfortable to use or whatever though then I don't think I'd mind it too much. My hands are about medium size BTW

I ended up getting a deathadder. After lots of research I don't think anything can compare to it at the moment.

bah. I ended up returning the deathadder. Couldn't get used to it's shape. Despite it being ergonomically designed it really doesn't feel all that comfortable to me. Almost as though they guesstimated the ergonomics rather than conceptually designed them to properly fit a human hand. The side buttons are in a weird place, The curve on the back of the mouse is at an awkward angle. It's definitely not half as nimble as the copperhead. I've learned is that you can move the mouse way quicker when it has angled edges like the copperhead. The tracking on it was weird as well. Felt as though I was pushing the mouse through sludge. (positive acceleration perhaps?) Thats really what drove me to returning it more so than the design.

go for a diamondback 3g, install the most up to date drivers of the razer site and dont look back. the DB is theyre most comfortable mouse IMO (person preference to that one, copperhead is ok ) and equipped with the sensor from the Adder (minus the early adopter bugs like acceleration :p ) and its one kick ass mouse. i still love my gen 1 blue DB :D

If you prefer the Logitech-style shape, take a look at the MX518. It's the same shape as the G5, except it uses a 1600dpi optical sensor so there aren't any fast-tracking issues like the laser mice have.

I have a Diamondback (non 3G) for work and use a Copperhead at home. I love both of them and haven't found any other mouse that comes close. I tried the Lachesis, but didn't like the feel at all.

you know, we should call them snakes instead of mice but i guess the general thought is "my copperhead(snake) eats your mouse for dinner"

on that note, M$ has revived its sidewinder brand and turned it into a snake, i mean mouse, might be worth a look, if i was buying a new mouse/snake i would deffinitely consider it

i'm currently happy with my logitec g9 but its a mouse, not a snake.

wow. I never knew it existed. just bought one in green

I never had a copperhead, so my opinion can be taken for what its worth. I did originally have a Diamondback, and it seemed like they were close in shape. I found that based on how I hold the mouse, the DeathAdder was a better mouse for me.
