Having researched, and researched....I decided to give the IX38 a try...

Building two systems, one for my brother and one for me..

Both with Abit IX38's, Q6600's, and 8GB 4x2GB of that 1000Mhz G.Skill ram

Its going to be real interesting to see how she plays out...Hope I didn't make a huge mistake by not going with the formula...

Anyone here have experiences with the IX38? Opinions? Thoughts?

Love it. Stable as fu*k. Even w/ 4 stix of mem and almost no tweaking, have my e6400 over 3.3 fully stable w/ barely a bump over stock volts.
Original BIOS has been great so far. Not a single reason for me to update it yet...

It runs hotter than the IP35 Pro, so dont be suprised if temps are up slightly from what you expect.
I strapped a 40mm fan on the NB using the single screw hole accessible w/ a normal screwdriver.
Seriously lovin this mobo right now. Good choice IMO.

Sweet, thats great news man, I've had a lot of trouble finding more than one or two decent reviews of the IX38....

I think it has GREAT potential, decent price, and gotta love that rear cmos reset switch..

I like the board as well, I just added a second set of ram giving me a total of 8 gig. I did have to up the ddr voltage to 1.9 or it would not boot. My memory is speced at 1.8

My Tracers are spec'd @ 2.2 and I have them running 2.0 currently. I bought this board w/ the hopes it would cooperate w/ 4 stix as well as its little brother the IP35 Pro. Good to hear from more users that I'm not just getting lucky over here.

I'm still waiting for the reviews to come flooding in for this  X38's seem to be off of everyone's radar or something...
