I grabbed a Q6600 in October and an eVGA 680i A1 mobo for some SLI goodness...
Now I wish I'd gotten the e6850 instead, my G0 Q6600 hates my Mobo... It's stable @ stock only, can't O/C for shit unless I dump a ton of Voltage to the Core and FSB which I don't like, so either drop back to a dual core, or change the mobo to an x38 and give up sli.

the pc in my sig is the only 100% stable cpu+mobo+memory combination i have ever come across, why the fuck do mobo companys put 4 ram slots on the board if only 2 will work

i suppose when dual core came out people were saying get the highest clocked A64 you can find. Its starting to happen again with the quads.

and when the 45nm come out new cpu's will have release dates :(

Yeah, thats another viable option. But since I am biased to Gigabyte boards I'm going to wait 'till one of their P35's drop a few in price then I'll def snatch one of those up.
DS3-P is awesome :D

And yah, I have an (old) Q6600 :p
