Mass Effect battle against Benezia, I need help.

Anyone got any tips for beating this whore and here minions. I usuall make it past the first 2 waves of Geth, but then they over power me and kill me, and not to mention I defnitely cant rely on my party members for any help because they die to fast.
 
i had trouble here too. I ended up running to the opposite corner of the entrance, and slowly picking off the teams of enemies one by one while taking cover. They pretty much seemed to stay away from me when I was there and Benezia stayed in the middle to herself.
 
Yeah I also ended up running to the right immediately after the battle started and took cover behind some boxes. After that, there was another wave of Asari that attacks you so I ran from where I was to the next little section.

I died a lot here because I had Liara and Ashley. Ashley was ok, but Liara... man. She was so weak when I had her. The final battle with Benezia was also annoying as hell.
 
At the start, immediately run right and stay in that corner and start killing, thats all I can say. Its the fight directly after that gets me. (By that I mean, I'm still at it, after 20 tries.)
 
Yeah, move to the opposite corner from the entrance. You can't kill her until you've taken out each wave of guards... but they're easy enough as long as she's not mashing you up while you're fighting them.

I died the first time I fought her but after that I realised you could "line of sight" her it was no trouble at all.
 
I used a few biotic powers to down her. Singularity works well against her guards as a well placed shot with catch all three. I used throw on her to knock her down. Skills like adrenaline to cooldown your powers, and that skill that lets you raise all dead team mates are invaluable.
 
I had no problems fighting benezia, however it is probably because I did every single side quest I could find before continuing on the story missions. I've just finished the benezia fight and I'm already level 45 with Colossus VII armor and all the Spectre weapons. I roll with Tali and Liara and their damn near unstoppable, very very rarely are my shields ever taken down.

The main trick to the fight is to stay behind the Rachni cage so Benezia can't attack you and deal with the incoming waves. After that I just rushed Benezia with all I had, (i'm a soldier) with my assault rifle she was down in no time.
 
beat this at 23. Took me two tries, because I got blasted to hell after a cutscene heh.

I stayed under cover the whole time and focused only on the adds while I had Ashley and Liara go after Benezia.

I threw grenades quite liberally and used unity a few times. Its one of the tougher fights in the game.

I picked up my spectre weapons for the last few hours of the game and ended up one shotting most everything :(
 
Yea I must say after I picked up the Spectre weapons and my Colossus armor the game has been a joke ever since. I don't even worry about dying anymore, I'd need a calculator to try and figure out how much shield points I have and with the right rounds and addon's the Spectre assault rifle is Armageddon to all that oppose me.
 
Specter Weapons and Armor are items taht you can only get if you have 1 million creds.
 
I didn't have any serious problems with Beneziah, for whatever reason. The most important thing to do is avoid getting hit with those biotics, IMHO - once you're down, you tend to get swarmed. Otherwise, just circle the room using the stairs to break LOS with your enemies. I had pretty good luck doing this, especially with my guys packing assault rifles.

It could be, though, that you put too many points in the wrong places and that you're screwed now. What does your character have in terms of skills? It's sad, but you really can get stuck in Mass Effect if you blew your character build, or didn't properly equip and/or level up your buddies.
 
I've read a few forums around the net and I have yet to find a 'Spectre Armor' class. I know the Predator and Colossus armors are about the best you can get, but is there an actual Spectre armor?

The last few missions of the game it pays to run by the Citidel.
 
Thanks for all the responses, I beat the fights today, I ended up just doing most of it on my own, with out the help of my partners. I was only level 18 when doing this fight, maybe that is why it posed such a problem.
 
Hah, I beat this at level 15 or some stupid shit like that. It was a real bitch. I found that charging the two commandos in front, killing them immediately (throw them off the ledge and shoot), then running back toward the door, running to the right, and putting the rachni tank in between Benezia and my team worked best.

It still took me over 10 tries to finish, though. The actual fight with Benezia wasn't that bad. I could drop her in 3-4 seconds and then crouch and wait for the commandos to rush me in the middle. I found Throw and Adrenaline Rush to really be key in this fight, doubly so because of my ridiculously low level during this battle.
 
Yea when you first get the specter gear it is at level VII rating. After that the next set is level X. Holy crap....

Doing it a second time through... doing one of the later missions now at level 57 I think. Badguys are soooo easy.

Lol. Soldier all the way. These guys don't stand a chance.
 
Yea I got all the Assault Rifle, Spectre, Assault Training, and Shock Trooper talent upgrades maxed and I've only got the Spectre VII gear, I can't imagine the X gear. My shields are almost never down and the Geth are quickly taking dirt naps, they get about 2 shots off before their gone.

Its hilarious I'll roll into a room, Liara will have them all floating through the air while Tali is destroying people's shields and weapons left and right. And I'm just spraying the air with the assault rifle lol.
 
I killed her on the first try with my vanguard, liara, and garrus on veteran difficulty. crowd control benezia and take out the adds first, both garrus and vanguard should have adrenaline burst to reset cooldowns, and liara should have lift and stasis. If you rotate your CC properly benezia shouldnt even touch you until you kill everyone else. use singualrity for debuff then stack two warps, and dont forget to dampen her with garrus so she doesnt one-shoot you with her biotics.
 
The fight is much easier if you don't do this as one of your first missions. I did it closer to the end and Liera had powers like Singularity which works pretty well if you have it powered up high enough.

This is true...I went in as a buffed out soldier with the best assault rifle/shotgun available and took Liara and Tali (with useful powers pretty much maxed) and the Benezia battle was just slightly tougher than other boss battles that I had before.
 
Looks like I might have a tough time with this battle since I'm only using Ashley and Garrus as my team for achievements for this play through.

If you have overload, that helps blow through the shields and they go down pretty quick with assault rifle fire. Where you fight from means the most in that battle though.

I used Ashley all game first time through and never had a stitch of problem. Ashley, Liara and my infiltrator, making sure Ash had the best of the best to pull tank duty, she turned out to be a monster. I'd dampen / overload, Liara would grab 'em, Ashley would mow 'em down.

I'm going through again doing some of the side missions I missed before....feels like a different game and I can't believe all that I missed by blowing through the main story too quickly.
 
I'll have to load up my game and post on here my gear stats tonight. My main guy has all of the specter weapons at rankX and some kind of badass black and red medium armor with an armor value of around 64 and shields over 400. And something crazy to boot like 30 or 40 I think on the biotics.

He is a tank. And so far that is the highest rated armor I could find anywhere. I can basically hold down fire on my assult rifle and not have it over heat. I love it.
 
The only problem I have with this fight is the stupid cutscenes during the battle. I do not like the fact that I was standing by one of the doors when the game paused, then four enemies ran in and surrounded me. I died withing a second or two. It's a really a poorly designed battle.

Anyway, the key is to run to the other side of the tank.
 
Take care of her goons first. You should prolly use her daughter biotic skills (singularity and lift) to make things easier for you. But she will usually send three to four waves of enemies at you, then it will be just you and her. Your teammates should take care of themselves, just watch their health. What i did was when i got over whelmed with enemies, i just used carnage to clear the room for a sec. As far as fighting her, that was like a 20-30 sec fight, but use you best weapons and skills to defeat her directly. Also wait til her power to go down before you begin to fight her, if not, youre just wasting time.
