Witness my CoD 4 skillz

nice use of flashbangs in the beginning. COD4>all other current FPS'

flashbangs are so overpowered in CoD. Basically one flashbang is the difference between winning and losing in many situations.

try beating it on veteran. A lot tougher that's for sure. But once you beat it then it'll be easy to beat it again.

Damn nice skills man, I bought crysis and have been playing that online. I like it but then I bought the witcher which I don't like. I should of got this instead!

Do that in Vetran and I'll be impressed. I made it to the top floor with 25 seconds remaining in Veteran, but died shortly before I reached the hostage room.

Mad skillz indeed. Checking the corner of a room you've already been in for five seconds? Play it like a pro.

Agreed.

Horribly stupid IMHO. Not checking rooms, hiding spots, not slicing the pie, etc.
All good and well for SP play, but you'd get schooled in MP since your play style is basically dictated by the fact that you have played the mission many times and know the exact placement of enemies. Not to mention you got hit a lot.
Try it on vet, fully clear every room, and not get hit.

No offense mate.

Honestly, its my one grip with COD4 that I just cant get over. The game looks like it should be played like RainbowSix, but instead, gets played like a speedball corridor shooter.

Yeah I was about to question if I was watching the same video as you guys, because that was horrible. You got hit way too many times. If that were an FPS with a normal health system, you would've been dead long ago.

How? I tried a few times earlier, and it took a bit of luck and some very aggressive spraying/praying to get to the stairs. I can get to the top dogleg, just before the doors, but the timer runs out every time.

I remember the first time played through I almost beat it on veteran, got all the way to the hostage, and Im thinking to myself the best way to go about it would be to shoot the guy in the leg, then finish him off, well I do that and the game basically calls me a noob for not doing a headshot (forgot the exact wording), and I had to start all over

Um yeah, you're not that pro. I beat that on veteran, a lot more skill involved. And I didnt use no pistol to take out guys, I used a fucking knife. Yeah. Knife, RUN RUn RUN RUN bam bamb ambam bam

You never get to reload in veteran, you always have to pick up new guns ALWAYS. Or knife.

This thread is weird. Especially the first 2 posts.

Anyhow, on any mode, the AI is equally brain dead. Their shots hit harder, gee challenging and impressive ai. Especially when all the do is spam the AI at you in floods to create the "challenge".

what's weird about my post? he did a good job with the flashbangs in the beginning. also IMO COD4 is the best FPS released this year. which part of that struck you as odd?

Cause the Crysis fanboys think thats the greatest game created. other then graphics Crysis has nothing and COD4 is by far alot more fun then Crysis and ALOT better story and 1000x better ending. I find Crysis very boring

COD4 is not better than tf2.

Or just about every other good current fps...

I don't like my games dumbed down like CoD4.

Yeah such an awesome plot. Do you even remember half of it?

WOW, COD4 has the WORST story line EVER! I was like, boring boring boring. Being the SAS was the best, but being freaking USMC was like...omfg boredom. If I wanted to play USMC I'd play freaking Americas Army.

COD4 is not better than tf2.

TF2 is freakin great. i can easily blow through a few hours playing TF2. COD4 seems to draw my attention more though. both are great games but for me COD4 is more entertaining.

I dont mean to flame here, but you comment leads me to believe your not the brightest crayon in the box.
Honestly, you call someone a Crysis fanboy when in a single one line post, you basically could be nominated to "Fanboy Post of the year" award.

cheers

Lol. Nice one. America's Army might be the worst armed forces FPS ever, btw. No graphics. No game play. Horribly programmed.

AA visuals are fine and the gameplay is probably some of the better we have seen over the past few years. The fact that the game has better dev support then any game currently kind of goes against your comment. Honestly, you can communicate with the dev team with no trouble at all.
There is something to be said for games that stand the test of time. And AA still has a huge player base after 5 years and isnt showing any indication of failure anytime soon.
Thats and it has received many favorable reviews.

When you consider that COD games basically die when the next one is released, they have a very short life.

Free, still good visuals after 5 years, excellent gameplay with a playerbase to prove it, and steller programming and support...not to mention the game is free...leads me to think that AA is easily one of the best shooters of the past 5 years.

Your comment suggests that your either not the brightest crayon int he box, or you clearly havent played more then a handful of games in your time.
Go try some other shooters and then tell us that AA is the worst forces shooter.
Marine Sharpshooter
Marine Sharpshooter II
Marine Sharpshooter III
World War II Combat: Iwo Jima
Sniper: Path of Vengeance
Operation Blockade
Elite Warriors: Vietnam
Marine Heavy Gunner: Vietnam
Delta Ops: Army Special Forces
Tactical Ops
Shellshock: Nam '67
Soldier of Fortune: Payback
F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate
UberSoldier
Etc.

I was playing it on hardened last night and I'm pretty sure I only had 30sec to do it in. Maybe i just never noticed the clock until I only had 30 sec left.

If I remember right, Hardened is 90 secs, Veteran is 60. This is the only level I haven't been able to complete on Veteran. One day, one day......

Isn't this game supposed to be realistic? I counted at least 16 shots hitting you and you didn't die. The game looks like it's trying to be a tactical shooter, but failing hard. Also, the AI is standing right in front of you in the beginning while you stand still and they still can't hit you. After watching that video I'm not sure what the big deal is with this game.

You got hit way too many times. You ain't gonna cut it in veteran with that type of gameplay lol

Yeah, you'll never pass veteran. 60 seconds to do it, and you cannot reload a single time through out the whole thing. You get hit three times or sometimes less...You're dead.

how did you get that mission? i dont remember playing it at all in SP

It starts after the credits when you beat the game. You can also pick it from the mission select menu.

This game is not supposed to be realistic or a tactical shooter. It's an arcade war game that feels like you are in a movie. All of the Call of Duty series has always tried to be more cinematic (the WWII ones were lifted straight out of Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers ) than realistic.

The internet keeps getting more and more surreal. We now have forums for people to post videos of themselves playing a game and other people to critique their tactics.
