Nice TV..Walmart online...Today only..

Good post, but....I wouldn't buy anything Philips. Ever. It will break sooner rather than later. Customer support is terrible.

Sorry if this is considered a TC.

Agreed, it is a good deal.

The dvd player I bought broke, the other couple of items were fine, but their remotes suck.

They do not like to play well with universal remotes.

Just to contribute. I spoke to an authorized TV repair tech a few weeks back, same place is a Dell server tech outsources, and asked about different models (ie repeat affendors). He listed as Phillips being the worse as far as quality of the internal components.

As long as you have a warranty you are ok, but Phillips are hit and miss. I wouldn't expect too much longevity out of it.

Funny, from the techs I've spoken with they say just the opposite.

The worse offender by far they say for internal parts is Vizio. Crap.

Meh, my magnavox LCD tv has served me well for a while, not a single dead pixel yet either, I'm happy :)

seriously, i dont think this is a deal, they only went from $1498.00 to a rollback price to what is now $1,298.00 online. so what you save $200? is that really a deal? sears had a better deal on there samsung 47" went from $2500, down to $1700. that was for there VIP sale, now they are just going to rip people off this black friday.

I've had a few Magnavox products over the years, and for the price I'd rather buy the 47" Westinghouse... supposedly Westy isn't the greatest quality either, but in this price range you're not going to get the best quality. Buy an extended warranty and you're good to go. Pretty good deal too, not scorching, but pretty good.
