I bought myself a Core 2 (2.2) MacBook Pro with 2 gigs of ram back in the summer. Now, I wanna bump it up to four.

There's no way I'm spending a grand on ram for this thing. Should I listen to the Apple fanboys and get the Crucial? Basically, what ram should I throw in this puppy?

G.skill, muskhin and kingston would be my recommendations. All have 4GB kits (2x2gb) that suit the macbook pro nicely for under $150.

I have used the Mushkin 2x2gb kit in my Santa Rosa macbook pro and its just dandy. Cost about $145 shipped after newegg graciously adjusted my price after it dropped.

i just got 2 sticks of 2gig patriot from frys for my notebook, so far works fine.

but as suggested that mushkin kit on newegg is a good deal
