Ok so I bet most ppl know this but what about Epic?
(I know this still somehow a risky bet)

1- Unreal Tournament or UT99
2- Unreal Tournament 2003 or UT2003
3- Unreal Tournament 2004 or UT2004
4- Unreal Tournament 3 or UT3

So anybody know the reason of this? A couple of months ago,I tought it was because ut2k3 and ut2k4 was almost the same game. But know I wonder if the reason is not that ut3 is not an upgrade over the others but a downgrade :eek:

To say the graphic of the demo are good, you gotta be a virgin or a :D

Is this somekind of matrix bug or what?
 
If Unreal Tournament ('99) is UT1, and Unreal Tournament 2003 is UT2, then Unreal Tournament 2004 can be thought of as UT2.5, not UT3. Even the UE technology behind UT2004 is labeled UE2.5.

Also, learn the difference between then and than.
 
Apparently they don't consider UT2003 to be a real game. I guess they wanted to release a game, but their vision for UT2004 wasn't ready so they cut stuff and released 2003 as a stop-gap. Once 2004 was released, 2003 basically fell off the map. It's rarely mentioned by gamers and isn't included in the Unreal Anthology collection.
 
well unreal tournament 2003 and 2004 were basically the same game in a sense to the engine, also I think the naming is like this because of consoles being put in the mix this time as well.
 
Think of it in generations. Ut was the first generation, 2003 and 2004 were both second (technically almost identical) and now ut03 is the third generation game of the series.

Yes I too enjoy making fun of people who don't speak english as their first language.
 
And to return on the subject, it's really what I tough too. But you guys don't have any official statement about it... So it could be what I think too, and this since we saw the bad graphics.
