BF2 using ALL 2GB of RAM

I had no problems until I installed BF2:SF (again) and upgraded my Nvidia drivers to the newest ForceWare. Now when I play BF2 it uses ALL 2GB of RAM and about 500mb on top of that (Pagefile). This makes this lag horribly in the game, unplayable.

Any thoughts?

Nvidia 6800 GT, 256mb

Its been a ram hog since it came out. This is nothing new.

I used to run 6800GT SLI and I bet the problem is the video card driver. Around this time last year, I noticed the new video drivers was causing memory leaks in BF2 and BF2142. I couldn't play more than a game or two before all 2GB was used up. I went back a few versions and found a version that did not cause memory leaks. It worked great with BF2 and BF2142. But the older drivers caused some bad textures in Guild Wars. Eventually I decided to upgrade to x1950pro. One thing for sure, I'm never gonna drop $800 on a video setup again.

I know its a RAM hog but this isnt the problem. My Pagefile usage was around 2.7GB, that is NOT normal. I did some tweaking to my vid card drivers and it's a little better, but very tempermental. I think it was the drivers that got me.

I'd reinstall it. I've never had BF2/2142 use over, I believe
around 1.2g.

The game is all fucked up and has had a lot of bugs in it and we're still waiting for the next patch, but it seems EA doesn't give a fuck about us after they have our money...

That being said, I still enjoy playing BF2, I just wish EA wasn't on top of it.

I enjoy it too but yeah it has problems. Not enough to make me stop playing though.

I thought it was fixed but it's not. I got through about 3 hours of play today and then my RAM % went for about 67% to 99%. Something is loading in the Pagefile like crazy. Ugh stupid.
