Show Your LCD(s) setups!!!

The main desk? I looked around at several places but finally settled on this one from Office Depot. Size-wise it seemed to fit my space best, it was about $600CDN.

to lawgiver: setting the samsung on the vertical was a pain in the ass (the stock monitor stand was not meant to be turned vertically, the mount screws were re-inserted at an angle to get this done)...might be hazardous to my monitor's health to re-jigger everything around...to be honest, i don't even remember what it looked like mounted horizontally, i switched it up right out of the box :D ... not that much difference between the 19 and the 22...

Here's mine

how's that teddy bear being able to sit there knowing the thickness of the LCD is so narrow?

How much were those tables from Ikea? Got a link? My sister gets a 20% discount there. :)

...there were several of us posting ikea table pictures lately, not sure you were asking me, I'll go out on a limb and answer for the long tables, anyway...:D

...i don't work for ikea, just love the simple setup. ppl come over and love the wide open desk space. plus, as far as desks go, very inexpensive, can configure the way you like (the shelving unit was cut in half to give me more desk space, I'd imagine that ppl with a given space limitation could cut table to fit)...

how do you like those Creative speakers? There's a wireless remote that comes with it right?

You have the same desk as I do, but a larger sized one lol. If I had enough room I would've bought the larger one too because I'm starting to run out of real estate on my desk!

yes, the creatives come with a wireless remote...the receiving unit doesn't show in the photo well because it's all black, but it's on top of the sub...everything is a click away...the way that i like it

love the sound...listened to a lossless album rip for the first time a couple weeks ago and was blown away by the quality...HOWEVER, I made the mistake(?) of buying/installing the new sound card at the same time so I can't know for sure which is more responsible for the improved sound...ah well

i can imagine if i did turn to gaming, it would be a nice experience

Loke, where did you get your cathodes? WOW they are bright. I can't ever find blue ones that glow that much.

I like the camera angle
Thank you very much.

if you don't mind me asking, what table is that?

ive been looking for something like that for a while!!

Hey,
No probleme the desk I have there in my picture is build by me. I bought all 9 stands from Ikea and got wood from my local home depot. But I was going to buy this desk right here
http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?webid=497474&CatIds=98,107,109&AffixedCode=WW&=&=
but it was wayyy to big for my room so I did something similar to it with custom size. But it is really nice having a L shape desk. Good luck man.

And l'et me know if you need anything

Just curious, but for those of you using multi-monitor setups, how are you splitting the signal to each of your monitors? I'm guessing straight from the vid card on the dual monitor setups, but are you running dual DVI from the card or VGA and DVI?

I'd like to do this as well, but not sure I can stand half my desktop being VGA with the other half being DVI which is much nicer.

I did just that for a long time with two ViewSonic VA1912wb screens, and the difference was all but unnoticeable... I have recently upgraded my card and am now using DVI on both, but there is really no noticeable improvement.... I suppose it may be more apparent with higher quality screens...

Hmmm, maybe it's my display then. I've got a Samsung 225BW 22" LCD which has DVI and VGA and a while back I was tinkering around with which connection I'd go with to my PC. Well, I noticed that the VGA pretty much looked like crap compared to the DVI when connected to this monitor. However, the VGA looked great when I had it hooked up to my Viewsonic G90fb 19" CRT. I suppose I could hook up the Viewsonic via VGA and the DVI to my Samsung.

same here...did not see a real difference once i went dvi/dvi from dvi/vga dual screens...sometimes it's just that the eye expects to see a big difference...

I suppose I could just hook up the Viewsonic via VGA and then DVI to my Samsung instead of buying a second LCD. Wouldn't be as ideal though since the CRT is 19" with it's highest res being 1600x1200 and the LCD is 22" with a native of 1680x1050. Ah well, beggers can't be choosers I guess. :)

I got my LCD arm in. Here's the final setup, unless I decide to get one for the 30'' too.

Jeez, Mr. Moneybags! Wish I had that kind of a setup.. But you probably saw mine about ten pages back(Not sure if that is right).

You know your right monitor looks like a piece of large wood that has been primed and shaven haha.. but nice setup!

Thanks. This monitor arm (Steelcase, $50 from eBay) is extremely sturdy and infinitely better than the desk I had the 2405 sitting on earlier..

Doesn't seem like there are many arms, only wall mounts, for the 30 though.

Nice setup chzuck just curious what desk is that if you dont mind me asking. I am talking bout the new one.
