what does this card compare to? would the 8500gt, 7300gt, or 7600gt be a better buy? I think 7300GT & 8500GT can get for $50 after rebates, 7600GT for $70 after rebates

Not even close to any of the ones you just listed. This is a non-gamers card. 7600gt would be the best out of the ones you listed.

We know it is non game card, not even 7600GT is a gamer card any more. This card is best suitable for HTPC

what is the 8400gs equivelant to? 7300gt, 7300le? thinking about getting one of these for a backup card or emergencies. thinking of getting this one or the 7300le buy.com has for $10 after rebate and gc.
