Get this, Kim Jong II says he is “an internet expert” which is a bit funny considering his own people are prevented from even using the internet.

North Korea is one of the world's most closed nations, with the totalitarian regime tightly controlling outside information and tolerating no dissent. Radios and TV sets in North Korea can only receive state broadcasts and ordinary people are banned from using mobile phones, let alone the Internet.

The guy's the ultimate hypocrite. Denying media to the people, but thoroughly enjoys them himself.

The North's leader is also a big fan of South Korean movies and TV dramas, and Roh gave him a bookcase of South Korean DVDs as a gift this week.

He is like a GOD to the N Korean people. Roma has the Pope, USA has AL Gore.

I sure would like to go do photography of some of the Stalin Era Pr the country has. Closest I have been was Hut they Signed cease fire in. U can step over the line into N Korea. Somewhere have the photo to prove it. What a screwed up country.

This guy is an absolute nut bag and asshole.

Most of his people dont have cars, they have to walk underground, they have to use white lights, no drapery/blinds, oil is scarce, no internet or very very limited, very limited tv broadcast, limited power hours, limited import stuff.... oh and aren't allowed to go on the beaches (barbed wire electric fencing)

all while Mr Jong:

Has a brand new Mercedes SL55, walks freely above ground, uses many colors of lights and covers is windows in exotic fabrics, spends oil as if it's going out of business, surfs the internet at a lightning speed, full sattelite broad cast, enjoys music on his ipod and other electronics.

Oh and can swim on any beach he wants.

hearing stuff like this makes me proud to be American.. I couldn't imagine living in N.Korea, no cell, NO INTERNET?, no tv?, WTF? how can they call that a life! :p

By now we know that that was spin. Gore never said he invented the net. He was the leader, within the Congress, in developing what we now call the Net. and nooooo. I'm not a Gore fan. Can't stand him. He's bad for humanity. But the disinfo has gotta end some time.

And back to the main thread....Kim Jong II has his very own private armored train because he doesn't like to fly. Then when he goes to Russia they have to change the wheels to fit the gauge of the Russian tracks.

Yup. I've heard that one before. Being the idiot that Gore is, he bumbled his words. No, he is not the creator of the internet. Yes, he was leader in the Congress and he took initiatives in Congress to develop the internet. At the time he said it, he was being interviewed by Wolf Blitzer who didn't flinch when Gore made the above comment. Of course he didn't create the internet. He screwed his words up as being a human we tend to do once in a while. Gore never believed he was the inventor of the internet. It's called news spin and you're especially going to see news spin just before a Demo pres nom as was the reason he was being interviewed by Blitzer.
