What would be the best configuration of hard drives to finish off my pc.

2x 80gb sata hd's in raid 0 for the operating system

1x 150gb Raptor drives for games or 2x 150gb Raptor drives in raid 0

1x 500gb drive for storage

I dont want to put the OS on the raptor unless it was a sepperate Raptor drive, because knowing me I reformat harddrives too often for my likeing to keep reinstalling games like I always do. That is why I was thinking of doing raid 0 for the OS.

as said, partition it... but either way you have to reinstall most of your games because of reg settings and crap on windows.... so it doesnt matter.

I agree with this. I would make the C drive probably 15-20GB and then partition the rest.

This is kinda what I did with my Raptor X,20Gb partition for the OS,and the rest as a game partition. My Seagate is used for a few apps and mostly storage of ripped cd's
and movies and the like.

i second that, just keep it all on one system, back up your save files and then your good, i did this with UT2004 about seven times

that's basically what I did (15gigS on c:, 15gig on a second for linux, unused as yet, 25gig on a third partition for imaging the OS drives, all on a 60gig maxtor, and a 250gig WD for pure data), but I packed up the win partition in a hurry, because I dind't move program files, only MyDocs and desktop to the data drive. So I'm trying to fix that.
