So I was fiddling around doing a paper on my computer, I left to go grab some food an I went back to find my monitor was going nuts in a blur of green static that was seizuring all over my screen. White colors turned into pink and there were streaks going everywhere.

I tried restarting and nothing changed, restarted the monitor and no change, and then finally adjusted some of the clock speeds on ATI Tool to see if that made a difference, which didn't.

Is it dead....? Its an EVGA card so I should be safe. I don't have a crt adapter laying around to test if my lcd is going nuts so I wanted to post here and see if you guys knew whether it was the video card or the monitor.

Aghhh.......WTF.

I came back to my main computer after maybe 5 minutes, restarted it, and its fine.

No, it's not fine. You are delusional.

LOL

Actually, you (or something else) may have bumped the machine causing one of the video cards to come loose, if only for a second. That happened to me. Just make sure all screws are tightened and that the video card is secure. It should be fine.

So it did it again this morning. I found out a way to make it stop is to switch the resolution.

:confused::confused::confused:

I am so confused as to what is going on.

1. Get off the sticky. I had the same problem once before. Its the card for sure. It looks all fine and dandy till all of a suddon your screen flips out. Your most likely have to rma it. Try what others say tho. It might just turn out to be something small.

Yeah it ended up dying completely. The artifacts got the point that they wouldn't go away.

Anyhow I RMA'ed the card back to EVGA and it might get there tomorrow if I'm lucky.

What do you guys think my odds are that I might get upgraded to a 7900GT or something :D
