I'm looking to get a laptop that can be hooked up to two monitors for Dual Monitor support. I'm not talking about the laptop's LCD being one of them. I mean two actual monitors.

Right now my workstation uses a Nvidia 7900GT which has two DVI ports so I can hook up two monitors.

Does anyone know if IBM or DELL has any laptops that offers this feature?

I'd prefer to go with them, but the dual monitor support is top priority so I'd switch companies for it.

I don't know of any laptop's with two ports... but you can use a docking station, and I believe there are some PCMCIA cards available that add a DVI port, which would give you two....

i want to be able to use two screens seperate, you know maximize a window on either screen. Does anyone have a docking station that has this ability?

If you have a HP Business Laptop (6230, 6400, TC4200) the docking stations for these laptops support Dual monitors, one VGA, the other DVI. I would assume that most OEM laptop docking stations would also do the same thing. This way when you are mobile you have the laptop screen to use, then when at your desk you “dock” the laptop on the docking station and then utilize the 2 monitors.

It does.. :-/
this will let you stretch your desktop between to 2 screens....

Lenovo, Dell, HP and Sony all have their upper-end professional models with docking stations, featuring one DVI/VGA port each with which you can run dual-monitor (disabling the inbuilt screen as the post above said). The Dell Inspiron 9400 and related models are one of the few laptops out there to have a DVI/VGA socket each.

The IBM equivalent is the ThinkPad Advanced Dock (if you're buying a T61 or T61p): http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-61232.html
The Dell equivalent is the D/Port for the Latitude series (which also integrates with either a monitor stand, or a tilting base for the D6x0-series laptop) : http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=310-7704
