Q6600 - Which stepping did you get?

How is this for fast shipping from NCIX ?? 18 hours from CANADA to the Texas-Mexico Border :) .

Rumor has it all NCIX is G0 Stepping right now. Their representatives have confirmed it too.

Has anyone purchased a Q6600 from antaresdigital.com? If so, is it B3 or G0? The price is just 276 and it's one of the few sites with no tax in CA.

I'm also thinking of getting the Asus P5K for $138. Anyone know if that's a good board for OC? Thanks guys and good luck!

Well I can't answer the stepping question. But if I must add, I have ordered from them and done local pickup before, they are beyond A++ in Customer Service Satisfaction and in person they are very polite and honest. I would have bought my Q6600 from them if it wasn't for the fact that the RAM I wanted to get with it, wasn't for sale through them at all.

I just ordered off of ncix.com, had to pay with paypal since they do not take US credit cards. $320 shipped. I could have gone to Fry's and got it for a few bucks more after taxes or got it cheaper off mwave but I wanted the G0 stepping. I really don't need this, but i'll be selling my e6400 @ 3.2ghz so i'm looking forward to it.

NCIX does take credit cards, just click on the U.S.A. flag during the checkout and you can use any payment.

People are paranoid that it doesnt ship from the same warehouse, hence why they order with paypal with the canadian site... I ordered from NCIXUSA and it shipped from canada so its safe to say its all from the same warehouse. Yeap, NCIXUSA.com you are able to use credit cards from the U.S.

Clubit.com sent me a B3. BUT, I am getting another one in a few weeks for my dad's build, and if its a G0 I am switching them.:D

ordering from NCIX canada site is about $10 cheaper than ordering from its US site (ordered mine on 07/24)
shipping fees are the same (~$18)
the only down side i can see is CA site only accepts Paypal which might take extra 1~2 days to process

Ordered mine from Mwave on 7/22/07

You should have went to NCIX and got a G0 instead of your new revision B3.

SL9UM = B3

Wow, I believe the processor I am getting is a B3 from mwave. Its in transit. How can I return it to mwave and get a full refund considering that their policy statement said they don't accept refunds on cpus? I want to get a g0

Can I refuse the delivery and once it is returned to their warehouse, I can get the refund? Anyone tried this

im pretty sure you can return unopened boxes.

im checking now.

if you return a SEALED unopened chip you will get a full refund from mwave.

just got my RMA.

mwave is cool ive done business with them for many eyars, though most of my money went to newegg and zip

So does that mean I can accept the delivery, call them up right away and tell them its unopened and I want a full refund RMA and they will accept? What about shipping charges? Or can I just refuse the delivery and save the trouble of calling?

id call them.

some places that tell me to refuse delivery asked me to write an rma# on box before i do.

trouble of calling? if calling a toll free # is that much trouble cause you changed your mind on an order from a good company, you got issues :D

I guess thats what I'll do. I might order something cheap like cables from them just to make up for their lost sale.

ordered with ncix yesterday for 295+ 18 shipping and 5 insurance... then today i saw the price temp at 284 so i told them and they gave it to me... total is now 306 and it shipped today with the SN ending in SLACR so I'm getting a G0. NCIX seems to only have g0 now. Go for it! Cheap enough and almost sure to get a g0.

Ordered a Q6600 from Outpost a couple weeks ago on the $299 deal, and got a B3. Going to send it back and order a G0 from NCIX (hopefully :p).

EDIT: Turned out it was actually a RAM timing thing holding me back... cruising @ 3.2ghz with my B3 at the moment, more than enough for me. Not worth the risk of sending it back and hassling with the returns/etc. :).

EDIT2: Clarification: I couldn't seem to clock past 320FSB before, since the change I'm now at 360ish for 3.2ghz and it's cruising along nicely :D.

ive seen a few people tonight get shipped B3 from NCIX.

i was shipped a G0 today though as a lot of other people were.

i have a brand new sealed B3 from mwave if anybody wants it before i return it. pay me of course.

woot mine just got shipped out tonight and its a SLACR!!! lol Anyone got a picture of Mr.Strickland from the Back to the future movies... :D

Does NCIX verify the spec numbers on their processors or do they send that information when your order ships? I am looking at other processors and would like to receive a G0 stepping so I hopefully have a better chance of getting a nicer OC. I know it is all a roll of the dice but the G0 steppings seem to be doing pretty good.

yes they do, but NCIX so far seems to be the only one selling them right now. Honestly this was the first time I bought from them and it was a great experience and I will probably buy from them again.

Yes to which part? The part that they will verify spec numbers? The part where they send you the processor information when they ship?

I would prefer to have it verified ahead of time. Thanks.

you get the spec number once the status goes to shipped.

most likely that just means the order has been packed to be shipped but still, probably too late to guarantee that they dont ship it to you if u call to stop it. and also, they have already charged your card by that point FYI.

I ordered from NCIX US on July 24th and I just got informed it has been shipped and it will arrive tomorrow. It says it is a SLACR, G0.

I guess there's a slight hope that it still turns up a G0, but what the hell man. Naturally I'm one of the few who got burned by all the NCIX G0 hooplah. At least I'm still getting a great chip, but it would have been nice to know I could squeeze some higher speeds out of it if I decide to hang on to it a while.
