Q6600 - Which stepping did you get?

For those of you that bought new Q6600s since the price drop and have started to receive them, which stepping did you get? Also state where you bought it from. Thanks!

Edit: Like rdmty says below, also when you bought it.
 
B3-------mwave.
Will share OCs but have to adjust my WC a bit before I can fire it up.
 
I was going to get one from newegg but I ran out and got the one they had on sale for the same price at fry's that also came with a motherboard.

Got B3 stepping. I considered waiting for a G0 stepping but I build enough boxes for other people i'll just swap my B3 with a G0 from a new build next chance i get.
 
^^LOL way to go...anyway got mine @ Frys B3, you think in 3-4 weeks G0 is gonna be easy to come by?
 
i ordered mine on friday fron ncix.com in canada. it hasnt even shipped yet : (
 
just got a b3 from fry's. I asked for a G0 stepping but the person in the cage said that they were all the same...I think they were just too lazy to check but who cares! 300 FOR A QUAD BABY!

Unfortunately for you. As for me, I have a friend in the cage who's willing to find the G0 stepping for me... but I highly doubt I'll get one.
 
Has anyone received their Q6600 that bought after the price drop? Some of you guys that ordered Q6600s should be getting them soon! Which stepping did you get, where did you get it, and when did you buy it?
 
B3 Ordered from Newegg yesterday, arrived this morning. Hopefully have some results soon.
 
G0 - Ordered from NCIX last saturday and received today :D

 
The truck came by while I was out.I am going to go downtown to pick it up at one of thier depots. :mad: But yeah its most certainly a g0 stepping :D I went in to work to grab a
Antec USB spot cool,as we are selling them for 9.98,with the employee discount it was only 8.40 $.

Puro has a depot on Queen St. in Ottawa.It'll be there after 5pm,just have to jump on the bus.I'll tell you guys whats happens with the new build later :D
 
I knew I was getting a B3 from MWave, but what is surprising me is that it has a pack date of 7/11/07.

There must be a bajillion of these things.

My pack date for G0 is 7/12/07 :eek:

 
Yep, I just ran back from NCIX's retail store in Richmond, BC, Canada.
I bought the Q6600 CPU finally and it's a "G0" stepping.
Product code ends with SLACR
Batch# L723A765, July, 12 pkg date.
I checked all of their batches and all the stock they carry at the retail stores are all G0s! SLACR. So I believe the B3 were all sold out.
This is a great news guys :)

And becouse we're very short in what's a good batch for the new G0 Q6600 SLACR so I really have no idea how well my L723A765 is going to clock.

Please do post your FPO/BATCH# everyone for OC references

Guess ncix is where i'm going to order my quad from. Please list you overclocks also. Their idle and load temps.
 
I am getting a B3 from Clubit.com (or so says their support guy), but in 2-3 weeks I am building my dad a Q6600 machine for his office and if its a G0 I am 100% going to switch them out. Regardless of what I get this time, I have a good chance of ending up with a G0 eventually.

Now I am sweating... I searched the SKU on Clubit.com that someone posted earlier as being NCIX's new stock, and it came up with the Q6600.... I am wondering now.
 
Mine has a FPO/Batch L723A765 packaged on 7/12/07, same as Tiramisu and probably others.

 
mwave has them back in stock, and I'm itchin' to order from them since they're the cheapest... I know they've moved a lot of stock so that gives me some hope of g0, but I might not go for it yet since noone has posted that they've actually gotten a g0 from there yet.
 
I've got an X3220 coming from Newegg, and I'll post the details when I get it. I expect it to be B-3.

I'm still not sure. Big companies like Mwave and Newegg buy up stock from other companies at a discount so they can turn around and sell it for a profit. Have you noticed how they have stock one minute and then they don't but then they do again an hour later. How many times has that happened over the past couple days? If they are buying up stock from smaller outlets they could be getting in a lot of the older stepping Q6600s. Until I see people starting to get G0 steppings from a place, I'm going to wait.
 
Does anyone know if the US ncix uses the same warehouses as the Canadian store?

I think so because if you do a stock check when you are on the USA site, they show how many of each item in places in Canada. If you are in the US though, they won't take a USA credit card. I already tried.

Edit: My bad! I was trying to buy through the Canada site. I switched over to the NCIX US site and they took my credit card. Oh, boy what have I done... (I hope I get a G0).
 
You guys do realize that even though its g0 stepping its not garunteed to overclock like a bitch or anything its the luck of the draw.

I got a b3 q6600 and its at 3.45 on air at 1.4v cooled a ultra extreme on a XFx 6800 sli mcp.thats 1.05 did oc, pretty good for a crappy old b3 stepping.

I am sure itll go higher but ill need to get my water cooling back up.

I was wrong. They do accept US credit cards. I was on the Canada web site. If you go to the US web site, they will accept your credit card. They just accepted mine. I hope I get a G0!
 
well, i dont have my chip yet but i got confirmation that it shipped.
the product code ends with slacr so if i'm not mistaken that means i should be opening up a brand new G0 tomorrow :D
I'll let you all know.
 
Has anyone purchased a Q6600 from antaresdigital.com? If so, is it B3 or G0? The price is just 276 and it's one of the few sites with no tax in CA.

I'm also thinking of getting the Asus P5K for $138. Anyone know if that's a good board for OC? Thanks guys and good luck!
 
I placed my order with ncixusa.com. The price is 297 and shipping gets it to 320. Fingers crossed :)
