Trading issues with pcgaminggeek3

I was interested in buying a cpu from him for a very low price. I thought, hey, I finally got a good deal. He had zero feedback for heat. I did too, but I have feedback from other sites. He started making up excuses that he couldn't ship first because he need money to buy a new stroller for his baby and his wife needed it really quick.
Obviously when he said that, I knew something was wrong. So, I didn't deal w/ him at all.

Hate to break it to you... but the police wont do anything about this and they cant either...

This is a cival matter and has nothing to do with the police. The only thing you can do is take him to court and fight it there.
Fraud is a police matter.

I posted this in the other thread.... I figure its worth re-posting here

By the time you file a suit and serve them papers you have already spent more money than what you are suing for. Not to mention this all has to take place where he lives.

Sorry guys, but unless you can dipute the charge with your CC company, you are SOL.

On a side note though : If you by chance sent him a MONEY ORDER and that MO was a USPS MO, you would at least have a federal case because it would involve the USPS

Not sure if this is correct or not since I seen other troll threads where the local police dept has been very cooperative. Its worth a try at least...

Good luck to all that is involved, hope you guys get your funds back.

I also noticed how he decided to put some monster specs in his sig as an "upgrade" to the good parts he allready had, and he filled out his bio info in his account (its prolly not real) but this guy went out of his way, and had intentions on screwing some people over real good. I dont know guys, just thought i would let you inside of his mindset, expert tactics of a scammer.

I wanted the lcd btw, damn nice price.

Actually, if his account IS in fact still open paypal will debit his account accordingly if it is at a zero balance paypal will draw the account negative. If it isn't paid in a "certain" amount of time I am sure paypal will turn it in to creditors/collections.

Yeah right!!! Been there over a year ago and all they could say is OH WELL, TOUGH SHIT BUDDY!!!

yeah I agree, I mean, what do they care anyway.... Oh well I think I am just gonna let it go, I didn't loose that much anyway (if I got the GTX then thats a diff. story) I think I'd be wasting my time trying to get him, but then again like I said, I only lost $50, and I don't want to deal with paypal, they might turn it on me some how lol

I would love to pay this SOB a personal visit. Oh well, my credit card company is giving me back all $580 so I'm not too upset right now. Although, I know some of the people who purchased weren't as fortunate to use a credit card for purchase and I'm hoping they are able to reclaim their money as it is a large amount of money.

And that's how the scam works :)

well thats good to see you got your money back, but did you use a CC through paypal?

Yes, I use my credit card for everything. I pay a sizeable yearly fee for my credit card and in return, I know that they have my back in situations like this. It is well worth the peace of mind. I had quite the spat with hotels.com a few months where they were trying to screw me out of $1500 and I filed a charge back with my credit card and the issue was resolved in my favor within 2 weeks. I hope they really press PayPal and try to go after pcgamingthief3.

Can't the admins of this forum trace his ip address?

Usually they will provide those who were screwed with such information. But I have only seen Admins do so, not Moderators. I have not seen any Admins post on this thread yet (though I may have missed it if one did).

I have been in contact with Kyle regarding this issue and hopefully he will post pcgamingthief's IP Address and any other pertinent information he has access to.

I paid for the 680i he had for sale, however, it was through CC paypal. maybe I'm still in luck

perhaps I am a little slow about this but ok, if we get his I.P. address and what not, we get where he lives etc. what if he changes it? (there are plenty of ways to do so) wouldn't we then hit a moot point?

seriously....

who pays a guy $400 just because he has tagged pictures. better yet no refs.

evoic even warned you guys in that dudes fs thread.

hope everything gets resolved....

pictures please :) or better yet, a video.

You may want to turn the volume down on the camcorder though... We don't want the shreaking sound when he screams like a girl to burst our ear drums... :p

On a serious note, I don't recall how serious this forum is about it, but I've seen people get the ban stick on other forums for saying such things (since threats of physical violence are illegal and no forum wants to take the chance of being involved in such an incident)... Just looking out for my brethren here. But on a side note I personally would love to see the colors of the American flag represented in beautiful contrast on the skin of this guy (if you know what I mean)...

Good luck guys... I almost jumped on one of those GTX's as well until I noticed he had no rep anywhere.

I'll delete the posts, but unless you continue to mention violence after I've done so, there won't be any bannination.

Has anyone started a police report?

Or are you forum folks going to play CSI yourselves?

Police. Call em.

Kyle provided the following IP Address for pcgamingthief3:

75.80.85.207
67.49.211.255
75.80.85.207

A quick WHOIS shows both addresses to be RoadRunner owned. I will be filing a police report later today.

No, Fraud is a CIVAL matter.

When was the last time you saw the police go to someone's house because of breach of contract?..... which is what this is.

Anyhow... go ahead and call them. Its not going to hurt to do so. I am just giving you a heads up

Aren't you probably just going to end up with a negative paypal balance then?

The FBI thinks its a criminal matter...But hey, what do they know..:)

No my credit card shows a debit of $580 paid to pcgaminggeek3 and a credit of $580 paid by Chase (my CC company). I don't care how PayPal looks at it.

You probably will if you ever want to paypal anyone ever again. Not to mention they can probably come after you directly for the money.

As mentioned in the previous thread, many people have reported that filing a credit card dispute does permanently screw up your PayPal account. I have no problems with losing my current PayPal account and creating a new one. They can't come after me directly for the money due consumer credit card protection laws. All interaction will occur between PayPal and my credit card company.

Done it twice (once with a troll and once with that company that went out of business, the one from Georgia I can't remember the name right now and I'm still using PayPal with no problems, then again:

Personal Info Removed - Vertigo Acid

There's a fairly prominent doctor in Bakersfield that has the exact same name.
(And also a somewhat famous - recently deceased - Indian / Bollywood Movie star)

I wonder if this is the doctor's dumb*hit, trouble-maker son - or if this name is a fake too?

he tells me that he is out of town with his wife... and his brother sent out the items for him... but... if he is out of town... how does he reply/check his pms?

this was sent to me on the 20th.

well he could be on a laptop....but I don't know, if he has done this on other boards then he is lying...god I can't fathom how many people he scammed on ebay

Holy crap...

http://www.srtforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141225

Seems this guy's been frauding people for years on numerous other forums on top of here and Anandtech, as well as eBay, constantly changing phone numbers/billing address/name.

Was on sports teams in Bakerfield high school years and whatnot too lol, wonder what the hell happened...

Either that or the real Casteel Kashif is a victim of identity fraud himself.
