Does anyone know if these requirements are still accurate?

Minimum Requirements
CPU: 2.8Ghz
RAM: 512MB
Graphics: Geforce 6 series

Recommended System
CPU: 3-4Ghz
RAM: 1024MB
Graphics: NVIDIA 6800GT/Ultra or 7800GT/GTX SLI

These were posted May 2005 so I doubt they represent the current requirements but I can't find anything else.

After seeing the E3 trailer I have a feeling I need to get a new rig :(

Well, I found this at another forum but they gave no source:

Minimum System Requirements CPU - Pentium 4 2.4GHz Single Core processor System
RAM - 1GB
Video Card - Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 128MB RAM (NVIDIA 6600 or better/ATI X1300 or better, excluding ATI X1550).
Sound Card - 100% direct X 9.0c compatible sound card Hard disc space - 8GB free space

Recommended System Requirements CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo processor System
RAM - 2GB
Video card - DX9 - Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512MB RAM (NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT or better) / DX10 - NVIDIA GeForce 8600 or better
Sound Card - Sound Blaster X-Fi series (Optimized for use with Creative Labs EAX ADVANCED HD 4.0 or EAX ADVANCED HD 5.0 compatible sound cards)

that sounds a lot more accurate ;)

That one sounds extremely likely. I would be willing to bet that those are their specs, though maybe not necessarily the final ones.

there are no official recommended specs as of now BUT i have heard that it can be played on at least a Nvidia 6 series card and up (and whatever the ATI equivalent is). Other than that, all i know is the 2GB of RAM will definitely be useful as well as a Dual/Quad core processor. Just have to wait for teh demo to know for sure (no idea when that's coming either).

really the OP's requirements wouldn't be that far off. At the time, the 6800 ultra was running the game at 25 fps at 1024x780. Ya ya I know that's not great but I think they were running it with most things turned on too. Got to remember that they are showing you the game in full beauty, but obviously on a PC, you might want to turn back some things to get more speed.

I think if you have some kind of decent Dual Core, an X850XT/6800Ultra, 2GB ram you should be ok. Because even though the X850XT/6800Ultra cards are older, they are still better then alot of mid range cards. Epic makes efficent engines thus I will expect this game to scale pretty well much like HL2.

Pretty sure everyones close to a 2800xp/2.8ghz cpu by now ;). Just need a videocard from an x800 or higher or a 6800 series or higher. I think this game though will take advantage of all the ram it has to offer thats for sure. With more detailed textures and stuff. 1.5GB or higher is recommended i think if you don't want an fps dip in a big battle ;)

The timing of all this sucks....the G92 comes out in November...yet EVERY good game is coming out in september!!!

I was shocked when I found out how many games are coming out in September. I mean like...Halo 3 is already done?!?!? PGR4??! Crysis?!?! UT3?!!?! There are like 20 good games coming out that month

There goes all my money....:(

lol lately the pc hasn't been getting much games because they have been in development since the dawn of time basically. The games are finally in the final stages now practically. This year is for surely a good year for the pc. Lots of betas to test and lots of new great games coming out. Just hope i can afford them all at once lol.

Ahha! You only THINK that they will come out that month. In actual truth they will be delayed to dates ranging from late November to April.

EDIT2: Holy crap never mind. That's a first.

read something on UT3 today or yesterday.... one of the folks working on it?? states it scales very well with less than top of the line machines/equipment... but if you have the greatest and latest it will drop your jaw.. (my words not the guys)

UT3's release date is "when it's done" and nothing more. Every release date you hear online is a rumor until you hear it straight from Epic themselves.

edit - Actually, I just saw the E3 trailer for the first time, and it says November, so we're both wrong.

They always say that. The only problem is that game developers tend to frequently be very shitty game players, so their opinions with regard to "what's playable" should be taken with a grain of salt.

I have read that UT3 will not be out this year for the PC, the PS3 launch will be this year but the PC version will be held back.

Those are actually the official BioShock system requirements?
They are anyhow, a good indication since running on the same engine, though I think Bioshock's one has been "modded" a bit.

There was an article today saying the Unreal 3 will be scalable said epic really well. Hopefully it scales good like Halflife 2. The console versions are going to be slower paced i read also so the pc version is going to be the best version to get for this game. Hopefully the november date isn't pushed back, i really want this one :).

about a year or two ago there was a video where a developer ran the game at 1280x1024 with a 7800gtx.

Since UT3 natively supports multi-core configurations, I'm sure I can squeeze a little bit more life out of my AMD 4200+ before I jump to quad core early 2008. My 8800gts is currently playing every game i throw at it quite comfortably.
