Quicktime has taken over my streaming media. help

So, whenever I play a streaming mp3, it automatically opens an new window and plays it in quicktime. I want it to open up in WMP.

I have gone through the quicktime file types and turned everything off except for apple exclusive stuff, and i made wmp the default player for everything. Still, Quicktime opens up streaming mp3s.

How do i stop this?

My solution was:

uninstall Quicktime
install Quicktime Alternative

I hated Quicktime for things like that.

Which browser do you use? If it happens to be firefox, options->content: There is a file types fieldset with a manage button. You can pick how firefox handles each file type. Hope this helps.
