Cant download Direct x ( cant connect to server )

I reformatted my hard drive and got everything installed and im ready to install Direct X.

Once i get validated for my copy of windows vista and try to download Direct X, ill get stuck at the download page and after about 20-30 seconds the page tells me that the server timed out or my connection just crapped on me.

So can anyone tell me if thay can download DirectX.

I just get timed out everytime.

Using FF 2.0.0.4 and IETab

EDIT: Waaaaaait just a second. I was able to download the web installer. It times out when I try and update using that.
 
yeah same here, i think they just came out with a new Direct X. Glad someone else is getting the hang time also.

They must be blogged down...
 
Well i went to bed and slept about 6 hours. Came back to Direct x website to see if the Direct x downloader would let me download Direct X, but its still mest up.
 
Pls someone help me out. I just cant download Dx. Im running VISTA Premium 64 bit.

Is there anyone out there that has or had this problem?

I think it might have been recent but its very frustrating trying to get this installed so i can get some gaming in. :(
 
I still can't download either, so you're just going to have to live with it.

Go outside or something.

Anyways i was thinking of getting a 6 buck a month deal from fileplanet.

also how safe is fileplanet when it comes too purchasing a fileplanet account?
 
I really couldn't tell you. I refuse to pay for sites like fileplanet and just wait for the files to be on a different mirror or simply wait in line with a free account.

Unless of course you are after those fileplanet exclusives like Enemy territory...
 
I had the same issue yesterday, was just going to try again tonight. If that don't work I'll use one of the links above.


 
Been almost 3 days and i still cant get directx to download the latest Directx.

I did get the directx from fileplanet and it works really well. But i still want to get the latest Directx.

I also went outside played alittle soccer and came back to see if anything had changed.

But low and behold it didnt have a fix yet for download of DX.

Are there any support forums over at microsoft.com?

And can someone give me a link to the forums?
 
Its been 4 days already and i still cant download Dx from the web installer.

Can anyone get me a support site that i can get some information or talk to people taht have a support forum that i can look for answers for this?

I cant believe i cant download Dx, its been down for me for days.

Very stupid i cant explain it anymore.
 
Yeah I was trying to download the latest update from a few different sites and still could not get it to work. It would not connect to their server for the update so something is screwed on their end.
