Where do I start with case mods? I have a case I think I want to use to get started with, but how do I decide on how/what to do? Are there any good tutorials out there?

I'm a 14 year old on a low budget, help.

look at the mods in the galleries and gather some ideas on what to do.

twistedmods.com has a few tutorials on how to do some mods.

start with small and easier things
like a blowhole or a window.
you don't have to start cutting up a case all at once
you can practise on a piece of sheetmetal and plexi, scrap pieces and leftovers are perfect to learn the trade
practise cutting holes, cutting straight lines, working precisely
try to do different things, you'll develop a personal style and specialty during the years
I started out with windows, that led to cablemanagement because you could see
into the case and find a clutter of wires
now I got a real "silence fetish"
hang around forums like this on, reading worklogs, stealing ideas
finding inspiration is sometimes the hardest part
take your time, have fun, and practise makes perfect

Start by getting the proper tools, doing some blow-hole mods, maybe a paint-job or two.

I was a 14 year old modder once with an equally small budget. Seriously, doing half-ass jobs with shitty tools is by far the biggest mistake you can make (for your wallet).

You just end up replacing what you bought, and spending more money than you would have buying the proper tool.
