If you would be so kind as to let us know your video card gpu/mem clocks?

Side Note: most of this information will be available in the screenshot.
Please set LOD at it's original default settings before benchmarking.

Ok, with a 7900GS @ 620/805 (1610 DDR), e6300 @ 2317, Memory @ 828 4-4-4-15.

In any event I like the look of the benchmark, nice to have something different than the 3DMark stuff I'm used to. Any particular reason you want benches run with it?

Resolution set to 1680x1050 with default settings, no fireballs. They seem to turn off when you start the benchmark and can't be turned on during it.

I had steam, Firefox, msn mesenger, winamp and a few other things running when I ran the test.

basically 16801050 with everything max/on

AA and AF settings were set in the application so probably wasnt using CSAA, but looked very nice especially with fireballs wizzing around.

What settings are you expecting from the benchmark? You can't turn on fireballs during it.

I had a hard time trying to put my monitor's native res... guess its just not possible (even tried changing the XML'd config file). Also changing from even 800x600 to lets say 1024x768 would cause my system to crash
So anyway I decided to give a go @ 1280x768 in windowed, since at fullscreen Im damned to use 1024x768...

BTW, yes, you cant use fireballs in benchmark mode so...

AA/AF settings were maxed out... I think anyway thats default.

How do you use fireballs in benchmark mode? It seems like they give better performance than with them off.

Don't know why but everytime I try to change resolution it freezes up on me. Oh well, pretty neat looking demo.

As everyone else in this thread is doing: 0xAA / Motion Blur / DOF disabled (but still @ 1680x1050)

lol mine also locked up my pc when trying to go back from 1600x1200 to 1024x768 o well i got my benchmarks up

x2900xtwh9.jpg

Here is one in max detail at a higher res for comparison
x2900xthighdetailvt9.jpg

not bad for an old processor like mine!

Oooh i beat the 8800's :d

You're at 1024x768, holmes.

And you forgot to enable Motion Blur, DOF, HDR.

Edit#1 Here ya go - same settings w/ 8800GTS

unigine_580_900_mega_cheat.JPG

Edit#2 per gilj's request - everything high, 4xAA, 1280x1024

unigine_580_900_1280x1024.JPG

And no thanks on the trade! I just upgraded from a P4D ~2 weeks ago :)

edited! lets see you run it in 1280 at high detail mate, also can you lend me your core2duo ? :D

Looks as though the GTS and X2900 are nice and evenly matched here, although your FPS went wild at 1024 low detail, I wonder if that could be due to the processor or whether the GTS has higher framerates at lower res and slows down to x2900 speed at higher res and detail.

Time will tell, and more benchmarks - keep em comin!

YEah - good comparison. As you get to higher resolutions, you become less CPU limited. I'm sure that's why my score is so much higher at 1024x768. You don't happen to have access to a widescreen monitor do you? As far as synthetic benchmarks, I like this one - it would be cool to compare our results at 1680x1050 and 1920x1600 to see if the difference completely disappears (since we definitely would be GPU limited at higher resolutions)

Sorry my monitor only supports upto 1280x1024, i'll let you know when I have my new 1080p TV :)

Regards,

Gilj

Benchmark doesn't like it when I change resolutions :(, crashes out, same when I try 8x AA.

1024x768 w/ 4x AA and everything else from the OP

Where are your benchmarks EastCoast?

has anyone tried to use it with an SLi setup yet?

i can get SLi 8xAA to work wonderfully, of course, but none of the split/alternate frame rendering modes will give me my sweet come-uppins.

my results are not worth the time it would take to upload them to imageshack :p

edit- i'm bored and my computer is running really hot (40C, it's still 30C here in ontario and the sun is down) so now's as good a time as any to run through the difference between SLi 8xAA on/off. here's hoping that someone more gooder will chime in with an SLi solution for XP/93.71, cause i'm inclined to say she's a no go at this point. :D

Wow lost a ton of posts =\, SuperKeijo what did you score again?

cpu ~3ghz (not 3,4 as unigine thinks) and 8800 gts 640 @ 594/1458/900:
click

same cpu, gpu @ 648/1620/1008 (fan auto, my 24/7 settings):
click

fan @ 100% 675/1674/1008 (still propably more quiet than the 2900 xt :D ):
click

eastcoasthandle's 2900xt doesn't stand a chance!! :p ;) :D

I have noticed that you guys are getting nice performance bumps with each new driver release. That's not bad at all. For me Cat 7.6 was just released. I have to see if there are any improvements. However, I am not seeing any performance gains in the release notes, only for CF in 2 games :(

Speaking of drivers... which ones are you nvidia lovaz using?
Because I see some rather weird version numbers up there (or anyway, I saw yesterday or saturday before the forum was down), and those are neither the official forcewares nor the betas (though only "official" betas I could find were from 2006!).

So are you using unofficial drivers? Which ones? :p

So, they are not official or beta drivers, interesting.

I was using official 158.22 WHQL drivers from nvidia.com and 160.03 for some.. not really a difference between the two, atleast in this benchmark.
