New pc game?leaving CSS

I've been playing Counter Strike: Source for more than a year and I'm sick of it, same shit over and over again. I used to play World of Warcraft but samething as well boring as hell. Any recommendations?
 
I'd try to get a LOTRO buddy key if you ar einto MMO's. If not, have you tried COD2 yet? It is just getting it's hype.
 
As long as your vid card can handle it- get Battlefield 2142.
The graphics all set to highest quality makes CSS look like a bunch of 2-dimensional images stuck together on the ends. Definitely more depth than any fps I've ever played and the learning curve isn't as steep as CS. If you got any skills at CS then you'll probably own ass at BF2142.
Edit: I just looked at your rig and you need more RAM than that to play.
 
Have you done GunGames for CS:S? It's a whole different game..
 
whatever. all games like source are old now. cod2, bf2 etc etc. we're DUE for new blood but you will dig cod2 or dod s for a change of pace. both pretty brutal shooters. COD2 FK mod is pretty fun with heads bouncing off. ;)
 
I would have to go with BF2142 as I am still into that game, hours of fun. Lost Planet is coming out in a few weeks and it looks like a blast. I know how your are feeling, I need to get my hands on another MMORPG, WOW is a fun game but I have been playing it so long its about time for something new.

no shit! gungame is the best online fps game period! get that knife out and GO GO GO! none compare unless you're into running around endlessly without action like the many playing those other pussy games

I have been enjoying DODS alot lately i got a week ago off steam
its really fun theres alot of teamwork and real tatics and strageyies

i like how every weapons diffrent and its not a run and gun
you respawn like in battlefield and have to control points
its pretty cool
i like it better than BF2 and BF2142

i own both
 
Check out Shadowrun. Similar to CS:S but with a TON of cool gameplay features.
 
unreal tournament 2004 owns all games... not necessarily the stock game but if you get into some of the online play that has all the mods and homemade maps, it rules. Can't wait for ut3 to come out... if that'll ever happen
 
Only do Arma if you want a real life simulation. If you aren't expecting this it may very well bore you to tears. If you like that stuff then gobble it up :D
 
ya i agree with you i have arma

its fun to play once in awhile if you want a real sim experience

ut2k4 needs widescreen support.

as for games i'm stuck too, nothing seems all that appealing cept some console games.
 
I played BF 2142 on my brothers gaming rig. It was lower than my expectations. Seems there was only like 300 servers.

You can set your res to anything you want in your ini files.

But yeah if you want a real change of pace give UT2004 a try. If you dont like the super hardcore competitive scene theres always the ridiculous sniper servers with a billion custom weapons and maps. ;D
 
I'm with you on the sick of CSS. I don't enjoy it at all anymore. BTW lots of people mentioned gun games, well that's what I have done for the last 6 or so months and I'm totally done with CSS.

I plan on getting Enemy Territory Quake Wars when it comes out. Also might get Crysis...dunno much about new games coming out though. I've thought a tiny bit about BF2142 but these games come out pretty soon I think.

Regular UT has native widescreen, so does all the others. always has. Just select widescreen in the options lol.
