Hi,

I am planning on purchasing this cooler for my future core2duo build, however I am worried about it's weight, which is near 1KG, nearly 2 LBS !!!! Will this thing put the motherboard's PCB at a very high risk of warping? After reading a whole lot of reviews, it is pretty much the best air cpu cooler availalbe but the weight really worries me.

The thing to really worry about is the foam sticky backplate...

Don't use it, or make sure it can't stick to the board.

The weight is fine, just don't go play tackle football with your case.

I think it'll be fine so long as you don't move the system around too much.

here's some notes concerning maximum cooler weight... (intel's is about 350 grams)

"Notes: (1). The maximum weight specified for a cooler is 450g for AMD socket AM2/754/939/940. Special care and attention must be taken when moving a computer equipped with a cooler exceeding the specified weight limit"
