Anybody know what the current options are for watching HDTV on a PC? I'm upgrading to Vista soon and started thinking about this....

I DON'T want over-the-air HDTV with a separate antenna, I want to use the Comcast HDTV service I'm already paying for.

I've used SageTV and an analog tuner card for a while now on my PC but I'm ready to leap into HDTV on my PC if I can... is there stuff out there so I can do this?

You would probably have to buy a new vista pc that includes one of ati's new hd tuners. Unfortunately, you cant buy them separately.

Due to all of the DRM restrictions vista has on cable hd, you're honestly better off getting a cable company hd-dvr.

The FusionHDTV5 card is great for OTA HD, and can receive the unencrypted QAM (I have Cox and this feature is pretty much useless if you can get good OTA signals). As far and getting the encrypted QAM channels, you might want to hold out on that for a while http://www.maximumpc.com/article/ocur
