cant get over 400 with my p5wdh deluxe

hi i got a p5w dh deluxe and cant get over 400mhz any ideas y and if thats all it will do what can i do to get a bigger overclock?

Seriously, What voltage are you running at? Cooling? How are the temps treating you?
 
voltage is @1.304 but even if i got higher it doesnt make any difrence im running a thermaltake sonic tower with opional fan idle is about 20C and under orthos load about 45C thats a 400mhz now 3.200ghz on e6400

Isn't 1.325v the default voltage?

What kinda memory are you using? Timings? (CAS, etc)
 
Set your PCIe frequency to 110mhz and try a higher FSB...

It uses the P975 northbridge, one that's limited to 400-425 FSB.
 
still cant get over 400mhz do u think if i do a bios update it could help at all?and also if i upgrade my ram will that help also
 
ALWAYS use the latest BIOS unless there is a known issue with it that would hurt the performance of your overclock. What is the temperature of your NorthBridge, that could have something to do with it if it is hitting a wall. The other thing is is that it could just be that it is an Asus board...my roommate has an asus board and had the exact same problem but with an older board and processor and we never figured it out.
