I'm planning to pin mod the E4300 because I hear that intel has limited the overclocking capabilities of the newer released CPUs. Does anyone have suggestions or comments on doing this?

I've found a guide for doing this but I'm really not sure which voltage to use.

I'm aiming for a FSB of 1333 Mhz or at least that's what I think the whole point of this mod is.

Can someone please help guide me. Thanks a lot.

What motherboard are you putting the E4300 into? I have one I purchased recently and it does 3.25ghz with no problems, and I didn't have to pin mod anything.

Why do you need the mod? Cant you increase the voltage through your mobo?

I thought this mod was to trick you mobo into thinking that this is a 1066 Mhz processor instead of 800 Mhz, right?

Here I have the e4300 clocked at 3,5GHz with a ds3 mobo.

The e4300 has a high multiplier so overclockability won't be limited by the mobo (not much atleast). I have it now at 8 x 380, and with a multiplier of 9 that would be 3420, and most e4300's only manage ~3.0-3.2GHz before voltage must be raised so much that the extra heat and possible unstability isn't worth it anymore. Unless you are planning on watercooling, I wouldn't bother with the BSEL mod.

Currently running my e4300 at 1333 FSB at 3.0GHz. Not sure what's so hard about changing some bios settings. You don't need to pinmod an e4300 to do .. anything.

I'm going to suggest you ask for assistance over at vr-zone, in that particular thread or forum.

You're more likely to get assistance from people who have tried it and can explain it better.
