AMD x2 4400+ AND Motherboard $99

Is AMD performance seriously so bad that you can get a "nice" CPU and a motherboard for 50% less than it costs to get a comparable C2D CPU?
 
You guys can get the CPU only online from Fry. Check out the other HOT DEAL thread for $89 shipped only.

Damn these B&M Fry's deals (and living on the east coast)! Friend of mine could really use this for his new system...
 
I just went out and bought one after I read this thread. They had a crapload of the motherboards returned... I don't want to sound like an ass, but I'm probably going to return the motherboard too... saves me the hassle of ebaying it.

Here in Phoenix there's a BB about 1/4 mile east of Fry's. I've visited that BB only twice, but I visit Fry's twice a week.

This CPU is OEM, which may make this deal slightly worse than the x2 4800+ offer from last Saturday.

IF only Newegg supported local pickups, it would be like Fry's. But they don't.

FUcking assholes.

Anyways, I wish I could participate in this deal. Obviously doesn't apply to me :(
