Set up Cisco ip phone at home?

Is it possible to set up and use a cisco ip phone at home without any extra cost? Can I use it with my normal telephone service?

Yes, you can use a Cisco IP Phone with your current telephone service. However, you would need a Cisco router capable of running Cisco Call Manager Express, a fxo analog voice module for said router, an Ethernet switch module for the router or a separate switch, and an IP phone. You can do it. I know someone who is actually doing the same thing. This person even has the Cisco Unity Express voicemail/auto attendant application running.
