I haven't had a problem with any of my orders from them yet. I received my $99 Ballistix PC2-6400 kit today.

I never had a problem either but there known for having items in stock just to tell you a week later there backordered. As long as you dont have to return anything you will probably be fine.

how long did it take them to ship your kit? I placed my order yesterday moring and its still in "sent to warehouse phase"

Same here....ordered early yesterday morning and still sitting in the "sent to warehouse phase":confused:

Speaking from personal experience, it'll be there a while. :D

I had the same thing happen when ordering the G7 mouse deal for $25 back in September. It said in stock when I ordered, it sat at 'sent to warehouse' for a few days.. I called to ask, they said they had no way of checking with the warehouse. I waited a few more days, it was still in stock on the site, I called again.. they said it was out of stock.

I called again next week, they said it was still out of stock, though the site still said in stock... mine was still sitting at 'Sent to Warehouse.' One of the reps offered me a gift coupon and I ordered again with that after another couple days. The second order shipped the next afternoon. However, the first order shipped the day before, i.e. right after I'd placed the second order.

I just bounced the second package back to them and got a full refund.

They took the cash 5 minutes after I ordered 'em, and my RAM order is on the sent to warehouse stage.

W/ everything Corsair was able to do w/ their LED's, I find that unfortunate. There are times when I watch a movie/tv show on the pc, not the tv. W/ a windowed pc, there's nothing more annoying imo, than a whole bunch of flashing LED's. :( At the very least, they should tell you ambient temps. :D

Yeah... strange as it sounds, the experience wouldn't stop me from shopping there again under the same circumstances. I wouldn't worry much unless it starts getting close to the rebate deadline or something, but even then it likely goes off of the order date or something rather than the ship date.

No prob, just ordered my set this morning, even though I got the regular ballistics last night. They're running at 1000 right now, can't wait to see what these do.
 
Ended up getting them, deal looked too good on such fast RAM, hope they ship soon I need them.
 
Mine shipped day after I bought them, I'm looking at the FedEx tracking and it says it shipped to the wrong address. I hope thats a FedEx error and not buy.com. Them bastards, I'd be using them today.

Mine shipped yesterday!! Fedex ground (which I hate) but for some reason it says they are due to arrive today (California to DC in one day? must be an error).
 
Thanks guys, just ordered 2 sets - one to work address, one to home to take advantage of the rebates. These are replacing a pair of Corsair Dominators so I'll have 4 matched sticks.
 
Well I got my sticks in yesterday but I noticed there wasn't any packing slip. Did anyone else get one with theirs? It was just a huge yellow envelope with my box of ram. I tried to go to buy.com but since I used google checkout, it's not part of my buy.com history. I did print a receipt with google checkout that shows the dates... do you think that would be good enough for the rebate?

Yeah umm that sucks. The rebate form and crucial definitely state they want the packing slip and it clearly says no printed invoice is accepted.

I got in on that ballistix pc2-6400 memory for $100AR from buy.com not too long ago, and I got a packing slip with mine. So thats strange.

LoL, I seem to have bad luck when it comes to rebates... I had sent in a $50 rebate to palm for a pda a couple years back and I finally recieved it almost 2 years later. They were very helpful though...
 
Update to which UPC to send - Just got off the phone with the rebate center and was told the correct UPC ends in 73749.

They also advised to send in the original box upc and a copy of the antistatic pack upc.

I'm waiting on delivery so I can not determine which one ends in the 73749.

Yep, that's what I eventually found out after talking to a few different people in Crucial. For anyone still wondering which to send in: If you order single modules, then either the UPC code from the box or the anti-static bag is acceptable. If you buy a kit, then use the UPC code off the box.

I wish they would get their act together when it comes to answering such a simple question...
 
bleh, even without rebates, it's still a good deal. /me is having a hard time absorbing the price crash
 
Bah, I can't get my system stable to save my life overclocked with this RAM in my board. Color me very very dissapointed.

I doubt its the memory. Most likely your motherboard or incompatibility. Perhaps timings or voltage? What mobo? Theres a few mobos out there that have issues with micron d9 revd chips.

The only thing I changed was the memory because my Mushkin Performance stuff was faulty-it ran fine at high timings, but there were all sorts of memory errors in Memtest and crashes at low timings. So I RMAd that and bought this, and its rock stable non overclocked and has passed memtest for 24 hours. Its just when I OC past about 25% it just falls to freaking pieces-even with half busted Mushkin RAM I could get 3.5 semi-stable. With this RAM its barely 3.0.

If you think its the mobo Ratsam, please send me a PM and let me know so I can RMA this sucker. The RMAd RAM should be back tomorrow for me to test too.

What motherboard do you have? You probably need to adjust the memory subtimings or increase voltage somewhere or something. Different RAM is going to perform differently on different boards.If you have a board like the DFI P965-S you can't just leave all the memory settings on auto except for the main timings and expect it to work.
