Forget BUFFALO Firestix, forget G.Skill HZ, forget rebates. And before you ask, Mwave is a really good eTailer, I've been shopping there for over 5 years without any problems. Enjoy!!!

Incredible prices on the Ballistix Tracers, I paid 300 for mine in January.

Thanks nicepun for encouraging me too pick up another 2gb :D

This was my first time with Mwave(have known about them for a few years now) From the time I placed my order, it was 20 minutes that I had my tracking and ram was already shipped, needless to say I'm damn impressed.

I should have said Crucial Ballistix on the title. So FYI: All DDR2 Ballistix RAM uses High Bin D9GMH. And the new DDR2-1066 uses Really High Bin ICs.

Is it worth it to go for the 2GB set of PC6400 ram? I mean, I was hoping to hold out for when the Firestix get back in stock (how can you beat $120 and the overclockability?), but this seems like a really good deal. It would come to around $177 shipped to me. What do you guys think? I could use some help here, this is important :D

Not bad. For the most part there are better deals out there though with the exception of that CRUCIAL BALLISTIX BL2KIT12864AA1005 kit. That is a hot price for pc2-8000 memory. $131AR!

Outpost also has ocz pc2-8500 memory for $139AR.

Crucial would probably be better than Firestix since Crucial is owned by Micron. I would imagine they get first dibs on the D9's while shipping the lower end ones to Buffalo.

GREAT PRICES & TIMINGS! *SNIFF* I know these sticks have had great reputations...

egg got some nice prices now also, might wanna check them out but some hugeass MIR.

Damn...(*Limit 1 pcs/customer) now.

I wanted to get 4x1GB of the Ballistix PC8000 but they had limited 1 pcs'cust now.Any thoughts guys on how to purchase multiple quantity?

Get a buddy of yours to order the second set for you and you either re-emberse him or pay him up front.

You have 2 days left to get the Ballistix non-Tracer PC2-8000 (2x1) for $101 AR + ship ($108 for me)

I scanned through the prices the op posted and that's really the only hot deal I see here from mwave for the Ballistix. I saw that deal posted over at Fatwallet yesterday. All the others have been cheaper from places like Buy.com and Newegg recently.

I wish those Ballistix Tracer PC8000s were a little cheaper so I could order another set.

and the date of manufacture is 12/25/99 according to Sandra.

The last century!!! I was shocked, shocked I tell you.! Isn't that kinda strange?

:(
They booted up at 5 5 5 18 with 2T. I am just learning about this stuff. That isn't good, is it? I haven't gone into bios to change it yet. I will. They completed Memtest with zero errors.

Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2 X 1GB) PC2-8000 1000MHz 240-pin DDR2 Memory w LED Lights :) oops, $149... then $40 dollar rebate. Still better than original post, eh!?

If you are a first time buyer with buy.com or new to google checkout, the buy.com deal is probably the one to go with.

I am a buy customer and have a google account with purchases on it. I keep reading "oh, the coupon will work anyway" and it's simply not true. None of those "first time" offers have worked for me ever, believe me I've tried.

In any case they are within $10 of each other so it's kind of a wash anyway...

I ordered it and got the 10.00 off :) So my total was 149.99 shipped for the PC2-8000's just gotta send in the $40 rebate when I get them.

I wonder if the price on these will fall any more?

It's possible they may drop a little more with hot deals that come and go but I doubt they will by any real means. If you're looking to buy memory I would suggest you buy it now while it's cheap. With the way DRAM prices fluctuate you never know when they can go back up again within a few weeks time.

My guess is they're near the bottom. There will be no profit for chip makers at the current prices. More likely is that production lines will slow down a bit or shift into other areas (flash, etc.) and prices will take off again. (pure speculation :p )
