I read a few news stories about the Forza 2 demo coming out in April. I'm pretty sure it won't happen, and I will reserve my excitement until the day, but tomorrow is the last day of april. *shifty eyes*

Rumour was last week of April, so I don't know.

I really hope it is tomorrow though, so I actually know what I'm buying next month. :p

Finally, I can turn the 360 on. I hated the first game, so I hope this is better.

I was curious, so I checked the Marketplace, and the only newly released demo is still the new Command and Conquer. I haven't read anything on a demo, to be honest, but I don't see why there wouldn't be one, and I for one will download it right away.

Yes, I did. People usually physically assault me once I mention it :p
haha. I'm sure curious because they did add a lot of options, customization, cars, tracks, physics, and graphics, but at the core it is still the same game you hated.

I'd be a very happy man if it got released tomorrow night. I somehow doubt it will though.

Rumor is that the demo will be released the middle of this week. :D

Can't wait for this game. ;)

I can't stand the game either. With a driving feel as utterly numb as the one in Forza (preach mathematics all you want, it feels terribly unnatural to me!), I just can't grasp how it's as popular as it is! And it seems that the majority of Forza fans I've met both on forums in and real life tend to back it until the bitter end, incessantly reminding me of its superiority to other games (especially the Gran Turismo series).

Pardon the rant

Odd, Forza's pretty spot on with my MKIII Supra's characteristics... I hope Forza 2 is better :)

Mainly I hear Online (that doesn't determine a game for me), and the ability to leave tire marks.

How can you like GT with out liking forza? they use essentially the same driving engine, and the graphics are the same two. My only grip with true simulator styled racing games is the lack of an in car view, come the fuck on people. If The first need for speed could do i, i dont see why that is not a feature in every game.

Hell yea wtf i want inside view so bad pgr3 had it and it was awesome i cant go back to anything else .Forza 2 is gonna rock as far as how much detail there putting in but i dont want outside view and that hood view looks wack.I cant wait to try a type-r and hear vtec kick in on 4thh :D :D .

Forza does have the really awesome feature of using multiple screens though. Unfortunately it can get rather expensive. ;)

Test Drive Unlimited has some of the best (and useable) cockpit views I've ever seen. sadly..the game sucks as a pure racer.:(

I too wish that more games had a real cockpit feature. I imagine some PC fan will come by and tell us how great GTR 2 is with its realistic cockpits. :D

I thought it was cool in PGR3 for a while, but after racing with it for some time it was just too obstructive. When you drive a car your view is much better than what it appears in PGR3. I played with it for a while just because it was a cool feature, but the majority of the game i just used the front bumper view so I could make sure I was hitting the apex and curbs properly. I actually think the hood view is the best compromize. The only problem with the front bumper view is that you don't get a perspective for the width of the car. With the hood view you won't run the risk of getting to close to the wall since you know where the edge of the car is. There were a few times in forza where I clipped that wall in tokyo in the s-turn because I didn't quite get the car inside and lost the race. So I think the hood is the best idea for viewable space yet still having an idea of the cars size. Plus it saves the development time for more important features... like racing :D

So where is this demo? I never played Forza before so I've been eager to try it out!
