Need some help deciding on these two Acer's

I'd say go for the Sempron because it has better integrated graphics.
 
Not to mention that SpeedStep is disabled with the Celerons, reducing battery life...
 
Well, I just ran into another bump. Instead of 529.99+shipping. Bestbuy as the Celeron Ver. at bestbuy in the store for $449.99. So I can just pick it up and with the spare cash get an extra 1gig of ram. Any suggestions?

Well I say go for it. 1GB of RAM will help a lot if you're multitasking.
 
both of those configurations are going to run poorly on vista home basic.

i would spend the extra cash and get better hardware.
 
i agree with bioport, hold off save up a bit more cash and get something with better hardware. You will thank yourself later when you wont be wanting a new laptop as soon.
