I unplugged all of my HDD's today to use a seperate HDD to rebuild a 64-bit system for a short time to get my 'My Documents' on my external USB HDD

See this thread for details on this problem:
http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1153601

When I booted the system up, it hung on booting from the XP64bit XP CD. CTRL+ALT+DEL and it shut down

Now the damn thing won't power on for the life of me....any ideas?

Please help, I need to get my docs so I can do my taxes...I know, I am a procrastinator :D

I don't think you are going to find an answer other than parts swapping.

Test your PSU.

Maybe reverse what you have done so far, see if you can get back to your previous PC state.

Maybe when you were unplugging your HDDs another cable came loose?

I got it to power on long enough to find the problem....chipset fan was at low RPMs and I blew the dust out of it, and pointed a 120mm fan towards it....all is good now

It was a classic case of futzing with it, and having a buddy of mine on the phone and bitching about it, and she worked.....I hate it when that happens

Thanks though!
