The Elite is real. No more rumors, no crap

Wow, I've never seen so many people crying at one time.... You guys should fill the creek up behind my house, its a bit dry...

The only thing that I want to know is if this version is going to be built with more quality... if so, then I'll pick one up... but if they are built the way the current X360 are,.... I'll stick to my PS3 :)

that $42.90 black replacement case from llama.com is looking tempting right now. My 60gb hdd isn't full and I don't download movies and such. I just want the black case!

limited quanity no? I don't care about color or the HD, I just want the HDMI. When will the premium have HDMI or is it Elite only?

Not crying, I won't be buying this and really could care less. Just stating my opinion is all:) Not saying much for a company that prides itself on being for the consumer when they say

"Well the PS3 is expensive, so why should we save our customers money"

I have a X360 which I got for a gift which i have lots of fun playing, I think they paid like $250 for it on an auction site for a premium barely used. I will probably buy myself a PS3 eventually. So whateva. =)

Is the Elite version the only version that is going to support IPTV? If it is, this kidna makes me sad, as I was looking foward to IPTV on my Xbox 360 since its been announced. I have the Premium BTW.

I'm pretty sure they all will support IPTV. MS wants a gateway to your living room and cutting out the 10m Xboxes they've already sold would be a very bad move.

Interesting color choice. Reminds me of a Zune.

This seems like an IPTV device. No doubt about it; there's no coincidence they also announced new partners and content for their "Xbox Live Video" service on the same day. Now they are getting the necessary hardware to make that practical (larger HDD for storing the files, and HDMI to give the protected pathway). There's no HD-DVD drive, so that just leaves IPTV as the main driver for this stuff.

Good thing I've got Walmart's 2 year replacement warranty. I'll walk in with $80 and swap them out :)

$80 for HDMI +100GB more space? And black? I'm in

Uh'...I wasn't aware that Walmart had an XBox Step-Up program

It's unbelievable/ridiculous that Microsoft is charging $180 for a freakin' 120GB drive.

lol - if you think $180 for a 120GB drive is bad, MS is still charging $90-100 for a measley 20GB. I think this confirms that MS is just plain greedy and were ripping people off with the smaller drives all along.

So would it be safe assume that this will also include the 65nm processor in it?

I find the pricing strange. This should have been $400 and pushed the price of the premium and core down. I'll admit that I've been tempted by a 360, but why would I pay launch price 1.5 years later?

Oops...i said 60gb...i meant 20gb. I had my PS3 on my mind. Sorry. I really wish MS would just do what the PS3 does and allow you to migrate your data to any drive and plug it in. I was watching an interview and the 120gb hdd's will go on sale for $180 standalone. that is just plain F'ing retarded!!! its just a 2.5" SATA Hdd ffs!

Small form factor drives cost alot compared to 3.5 inch drives. A 40 gb 1.8inch hdd is about 100 bucks. So the price they are asking for is reasonable. What they should do is offer a 40, a 60 and, an 80 for those who don't want a huge drive or spend a ton of $$.

bah...

not an upgrade for most outside of color.

Decalgirls.com has better options for less money.

My projector has DVI and not HDMI....so besides the larger HD it's not of use...and the larger HD isn't that big of a deal.................

I'm with the rest of the group though...They should have upped the price of this SKU to $500 or even $525 and included the larger HD and built in wireless.
You know...

DVI and HDMI are physically compatible. All you need is a DVI-HDMI cable.

Assuming Microsoft doesn't force HDCP at all times over HDMI. You'd hope they were smarter than that, but Sony managed to blow it...

I can't believe that either, I'd maybe consider it if it was at 99, but there really isn't enough content that i need it for to giving up 180 dolla's. I'd rather buy 2 games and a used game off of ebay for that.

i already play 1080p games over component with my Samsung HDTV so there is really no need for the elite for me with HDMI. Maybe buy the bigger harddrive
