New version of the Logitech G5 mouse

its pretty ugly imo, but the two thumb buttons are a plus. something i always preferred about the mx line.
 
Looks fugly. Should have made the sensitivity LEDs blue. I like the dual side buttons though. :D

Where can I buy one? The thing keeping me from buying the G5 before was because it only had one side button. :)

Same here, I haven't found a place to buy one yet though, I'll keep a lookout. Wish they would have given it a new model number. :rolleyes:
 
It would be perfect if they removed the useless tilt wheel and put a decent mouse wheel in the damn thing.
 
I love the shape (I'm still using the MX700 duo), but I wish there were a wireless version. I could do without the funky blue design, but I like it.
 
ill take one of them, i was going to get a G5 for its slight improvements over my mx518.. but i cant do without my 2 f/b buttons :)
 
I actually like the blue color. I already have the older G5, but I'd be more than happy to give it to a friend and buy this one.

I think they meant new for the G5, there's been a lot of complaints about the single thumb button on its premiere gaming mouse compared to two for the lesser models.

Check your local Best Buy. I saw this same ugly mouse at my local BB. ( they have both the old and new version of the G5)

Aye. I stumbled upon it at Best Buy last week or the week before. I was like, "OOoo!" But then I saw that it was wired and I put it back. The single thumb button isn't that great either. I don't even use my MX700's thumb buttons, but if I did, I'd want two of 'em. :p

No, that's a lie. I do use them. On accident. :(
 
That color scheme is so ugly...I much prefer my current G5 color scheme, but it really annoys me that now they bring back the second thumb button. I got the G5 as an upgrade from my MX510 for the improved tracking, which I weighed against losing the thumb button. Now you can have both? grr..
 
Well, I may have to give one a try... got to have my two thumb buttons... I think the color is a little too much, but oh well...

Yeah yeah, I was being facetious.
It was a dumb idea to remove it in the first place (did ANYONE like the single button)
...and now that they put it back, it is a NEW FEATURE!!!

Wow, I am really impressed with this NEW FEATURE. :rolleyes: :D
 
I think I might get the MX Revolution. My FPS skills aren't at a level where I would notice the difference in dp between the MX Revolution and the new G5...and the Revolution's battery life is astounding. Anyone have one of these bad boys? How do they like it for gaming?
 
Sweet! I have been wanting to upgrade for quite some time, My MX518 has seen a SHIT ton of use, (read: travel to India(4.5 months), and college dorm for 2+ years) and my ratpadz (original [H]ard|ocp version) are all worn out....
I think i might pick up one of these and a new ratpadz for my present to my self of being done with another semester...

The biggest thing i like is the HUGE wear surface, the little feet get worn out then the bottem of the mouse it touching my pad now...

Still haven't found a wireless mouse that I can get rid of for my MX518 <3

This might be it though! I like the blue but not the snake design.

I quite sure if I understand what you said exactly, but you do know that this is a wired mouse right?
