GTA IV Trailer Announced for 3/39/07!

We're announcing trailers now? Cool news anyway, and I guess this excitement is a testament to the loyalty fans have for this franchise.
 
What I wonder is will they stay with the african gangbanger theme or change it to somethingelse.
 
My inside sources tell me we'll be playing as a prohibition-era southern bootlegger. This is no shens.

Great. Any word on how late the PC port is going to be THIS time?

God, I hate waiting for the GTA3 games. The true hell of it is that it is out -- to me, for about $700 (NZ money), since I don't have a console of any sort. I'd just have to either get used to looking like a retard playing it (last time I used a gamepad was more than a decade ago on a friend's Sega Master System 2), or spend WoW-league time getting used to the controls.

This would be interesting honestly. Ive been disenfranchised with the whole GTA series since the first 3d one honestly. I know im in a minority on that, but something new and fresh like this would be a compelling reason for me to check out the series again.

There has not been any announcement of any PC version at this time...yet. But there will be one in the works more likely.:) ;)
 
thats nice.....im SO EXCITED FOR THE trailer? lol ok....well i guess its good to know in advance when a trailer for a game that is coming out is going to be coming out...
 
My favourite game series ever, I remember begging my dad to buy the first GTA because I was only 14 and couldn't buy it :)
 
I own GTA III, Vice city, and San Andreas...all for PC

So...will this one be out for pc as soon as it comes out???

Otherwise it would suck major balls...or else i have to buy gay Ps3 or 360 to just play that game :(
 
I'm sure they'll delay the PC release by a few months. I'll be snatching the PS3 version. Is each console still getting specific content ? I don't think prohibition era works for GTA but that's my opinion. Mainly the vehicles from that time period would be uninteresting to me and slow.

Yes each version of the game will get different content. Like Xbox 360 will get the Episodic Content. While PS3 and PC version will be announced later.;)

They could not have cast the movie better. Your theory on the next GTA title having a Departed feel and locale to it made my giddy meter go up a notch. I'd be about as happy if it took place in London though. Can't wait for the trailer.
 
Watch it take place in New Orleans, I just wonder if it'll be set in pre-katrina or post-katrina. If its post-katrina then wow... just wow. Most of the city's neighborhoods still look pretty bad, and if rockstar incorporates that type of environment and feel into GTA, then I'm sorry to say this but it'll be awesome. GTA IV: The Big Easy or GTA IV: Crescent City
