What would you recommend for a printer/fax/scanner/copier all in one unit? I know most all-in-one units are garbage, hence why I am asking for your opinion. I don't want a garbage one. Looking to spend around $1,000. Spend my money. :)

I have no experience in units costing that much. However I have been using Dell Color Laser Printers for years and I find they are an excellent value. Dell has just released an All in one Color Laser unit you might want to check out.

You need to decide what factors are more important... Scanning Speed/Quality, Photo Printing, Printing Speed, Etc. This will guide some decisions which are best for you.

The color laser will obviously be great at print speed and duty cycle, but not so hot on photo printing. Inkjets are the top consumer grade product for that.

I spent $199 for my HP Officejet 6210 All-In-One and it has worked great for several years now. I have no idea what you could get for $1000, but I wouldn't dismiss the all-in-one units.

epson cx3810, cheap and very durable (i say durable cause i dropped it ><) u can get it for under $100 CAD and the scan/print quality is top notch

I'd recommend SAMSUNG SCX-4521FG.

From Samsung's website:

"Bigger and faster is good. But smaller and faster is better. The compact SCX-4521Fg is an economical and efficient four-in-one solution for home-based and small office settings. Print sharp text and graphics at speeds up to 20 ppm. Fax fast with 3-second scan and 3-second transmission speeds. Fax directly from your PC. Or copy and scan with distinctly professional results. The SCX-4521Fg laser MFP. Small size. Big results."

you can get it here at Newegg for $230.
