How to find Windows XP boot directory

Ok, I cannot think of this for nothing. What is the command that will tell you which (or where) Windows XP your booting from? It's something like %windows...etc. But just can't find it anywhere.

Generally windows boots straight from the c: partition... Are you asking where the windows folder is?

The is a DOS command that you can type in the command prompt that will tell you exactly where and which Windows installation that your pc is booting from and using. i.e. if you, for some reason, had two hard drives and had Windows XP installed on both and you didn't know for sure which one you were booting from, this command would identify and tell you.

I use to know it, but can't remember the command. It's something like %windowsroot% something like that.

The cheesy way would be to run "set" from the cmd prompt.

The "official" way would be to look at the boot.ini

Well, actually what I was looking for was either of these:

%windir%
%systemroot%
