I have a 7900gto, 3200+, epox 9npa+ ultra motherboard, 1 hardrive, 2 opitcal drives, 1 floppy, and 5 case fans. Soon water will be added (using the swiftech mcp655 pump) Which psu would suit me better. I'd be buying the Ultra at 50$ and the Antec at 80$

For those who don't know, the ULT31841 is a 500W.

Either would be more than enough to power that rig.

It's not power I'm looking for. I'm looking for noise and pci-e connectors and amount of 4 pin molex.

I have the Ultra V-series and am happy with it the thing is quiet

But you don't need to pay $50 for the Ultra V-Series, wait a few days or a week and get it for FREE after rebate like I did, get it at Fry's. The rebate is not active at the moment but comes back every month so just keep an eye out for it. I got mine for free. Also got the Ultra Wizard case for free after rebate, with free shipping. Assuming you are in the United States. If you don't wait for the rebate, they are $40 at Fry's

Well... all you have to do to figure out the number of PCI-e connectors and Molex connectors is to look at each PSU's specs.

As for quiet, they're both very quiet.

That's not what I meant. like I was saying how wattage isnt really a factor to me, but the amount of connectors that the psu has is more of a deciding factor.

Are you REALLLY like 100% sure about the rebate coming back in the very near future? lol

Fry's have had this rebate running about half the time for nearly a year. It was running a week ago and it was running a month ago, and 2 months ago, and a year ago. It has become a regular deal with them. Will it be running again in the next few weeks? Probably. But I can't see into the future so not I am not 100% sure. If you are impatient, you could pay $50 for one near you and the power supply is worth fifty bucks. I would rather wait until the deal comes back, pay $40 up front then get a $40 check back from Ultra a few weeks after that. But like I said, not 100% sure.

Yeah.. I got that.

And I said they're both very quiet.

wdn was nice enough to get you the cable/connector count on the Ultra. You can go to Antec and get the cable/connector count on the Trio.

I just bought the trio 550 at Frys (b&m) on sale for $59 last week. no rebate.

lol I'm missing all the deals on fry's. I'm being offered that exact antec trio, but for 80 shipped:mad:

My father likes his FAR 500w Ultra PSU.

It happily powers a 3400+ 939, 2GB of Ultra CAR (cheap after rebate) RAM, and a 7600GT 256MB
