I've been looking at some reviews lately, and I'm not sure my zalman is up to snuff with some of the latest coolers. I'm trying to keep my 2.6ghz overclock nice and cool. Granted it's working now in the winter ok (but I keep my house temps on 70 degrees F, and my furnace is on 78-80F in the summer). Currently, my idle temps are in the mid to high 20s (celcius), and my load are just breaking 50C. I was planning on going to microcenter today and picking something up, I was concerned as I have tossed the stock backplate and cpu rentention mechanism, but I see I can get one for $4. Sometimes microcenter has things that aren't on the website, I've seen scythe ninja there before, as well as arctic cooling freezer pro 64, and I know they have the Zalman 9500 and 9700. I'm thinking with my case airflow, I would get the best cooling with something that blows air from front to back rather than straight down on the cpu, that way incoming air from the front goes right to the cpu fan, and any hot air is pulled up through the 120mm fan on my psu, or out the 120mm fan in the back. Can anyone recommend anything from these pages? http://www.microcenter.com/byos/byos_search_results_e.phtml?coordinate_group=HJ1B
