That video card. What is the best way to connect it with component to an HDTV? The HDTV will not accept HDMI from a PC for unknown reasons. It sees the signal but wont display it.

Can I use the DVI to component adapter with that? Suggestions?

well if it is like my 7900GS then it will come with the RBG that you can just hook up to it.

It does not come with the cables like I thought it would. The manual the card comes with says the cable is "optional". Do you know where I might be able to find the cable locally?

Locally, maybe microcenter or pcclub if you have one nearby, but even they probably won't have it. You could put a wanted ad on craigslist and see if you get any takers.

Ebay is probably the best bet.

Email Chaintech and ask them for it directly. You can't use a DVI (or VGA) to component adapter with the card. The adapter only works with certain cards (assuming we're talking about the one that ATI made and similar adapters, if not and we're talking about a DVI to component cable then thats not going to work either cause they only work with certain things that have a special DVI or VGA port and a video card does not have one of those special ports).

I am running DVI to my Mitsu, and digital coax out. Works great on my 6800. As to the breakout cable you might try contacting the manufacturer and see if they can get you one.

Got one. I got them to jack it out of a 7900 GS box... :D

Shhhh!
