Ten Reasons You Play Too Much RTCW

i remember this vid...sigh. loved those days. funtimes. here's hoping to quakewars having the exact same gameplay.
 
Must be old. RTCW was my main game from fall 2001 to when the Medal of Honor demo came out and Jedi Knight 2 was released, sometime in winter 2002. Good times.
 
I loved the RTCW demo, never did get the game tho. Been awhile, but that vid is pretty funny.

I do wish for a replacement for RTCW/Bf1942 (and no, neither Bf2/bf2142 does it for me). Used to eb great games at both stress relief and burning time.

It was a really good game. At the time, it was one of the most enjoyable singleplayer campaigns in a FPS that I've played. The mutliplayer was really good too...much better than BF2 in many ways, IMO. I used to spend alot of time playing that game...maybe it's about time for a reinstall to have another go at it :D
 
The game that RTCW replaced for me was Tribes 2. I would have kept playing T2 forever but they patched it to a point it wasn't much fun and the community became way too splintered across all the different patch releases and mods. RTCW had no vehicles but there was something about the responsiveness of the Q3 engine combined with the teamplay-rewarding aspects of the game that made it an obsession for quite a few months for me.

try 3 1/2 years :D...and I'll include Wolf ET in that time frame as well haha. finally got burnt out in 05.

I miss that game, it was great. They need to release an updated version. Calling airstrikes was fantastic.

You should defidently go get it. Either Ebay, or your local used game store. I invested many many hours into that game, and if I remember correctly, they were planning a sequel. I remember seeing screenshots a while back.


Old news from Oct. 2005, but thought it was interesting regarding a Wolfenstein movie, and sequel.

And they will. It's called ET: Quake Wars :)
 
Ah reminds me of my time on the 24/7 beach servers back in 2003. The part where he tod the dog to follow me was the best.
