Anyone have pics of Westinghouse 37" LCD??

Think my Westy is fried, I was using a liveCD for Gentoo (linux distro) and I think it forced a refresh rate that the Westy didn't like, couldn't have been on for more than a few minutes but the picture won't come on and when I try to bring up the menu the menu freezes, waiting on an RMA from Westy since the TV is not even 2 months old yet.

Gotta say, while it could just be a coincidence, if the higher refresh rate fried the TV after only a few minutes, I'd say anyone using this monitor as their PC monitor should DEFINITELY buy the replacement plan, it's not uncommon for something unknowingly force a refresh rate now and again.

Sweet, sweet pics. I'm not much on football or basketball, but it would be great to see the UFC in high def like that.
 
what sort of cables and power connectors do i need to buy with this monitor. I plan on watching HD cable programming on it and use it as a monitor too.
 
got mine today as well, from buydig.com super easy sale, and they delivered perfectly.

This thing is definately the biggest upgrade computing wise I have ever made! I have a righteous new maingear F131 on order, and Im sure that 's gonna be a huge upgarde too, but this display..man..

I was on the fence with this and dell 30. I feel very good about my choice! This thing is a mind blower.

Ill get some pics up soon. Need a new desk tho :p

I'd assume he was kidding..I think..Anyways the black level is pretty much on par with the tech(LCD) but can be tweaked to look pretty damn good in your driver CP
 
Well I got my panel from JR.com today...came 2 days after I ordered. I haven't put it in its permanent place yet, just verified that it works. I also ran some pixel test images and it looks like I might have lucked out. No visible dead pixels so far.

What I can tell is that I need to be at least 4 feet away from the monitor. Anything closer and I would go crazy. Unfortunately that means no Ikea Jerker for me as it is only 3 feet deep. There are some really nice floor LCD stands at Circuit Sh*tty but I don't think I can swallow the $300+ price tags.

Hmm.. I'm surprised you feel that way, but to each their own, I firmly believe!

I did get lucky and found a Jerker, and thats what I have my Westy on. I will say that I had to actually use a Personal Shopper / concierge Service to get the Jerker, as they are discontinued, and I had to purchase one in a store over the phone across the company, and have the Concierge ship it to me..Ikea doesn't ship =/

Maybe its because I'm older, almost 45, but I love the larger size of the 37'. It s just right..LARGE, but with my 800gtx, looks great at 3' on the Jerker!

Well I made a comprimise. I bought the Jerker as a "stand" for the monitor and will continue to use my old desk for the keyboard/mouse to get my optimum viewing distance of 3.5 feet :cool:
 
Thanks viper..No..It's My New Maingear F 131. They automotive paint them as part of the package, your choice from a limited range of colors, but yea..it is honestly SWEET! My whole setup just pwns..just put it all together this past week!
