Yes that will be released at launch tonight at midnightI'm not certain this is true, don't have my copy yet, but I heard with Vista Ultimate you can use a Video as your desktop wallpaper.
Im still poking around Vista Ultimate 64bit, Seems new little things pop up here and there that I didnt know were there, Anyone find any useful not so well known features?

So...this video wallpaper thingy...is only on Vista Ultimate?
What are the requirements for this video wallpaper and a smoothly running Vista?
ZOMG I just watched the Bill Gate Times Square presentation and it ended with his deputy giving a presentation of a lot of these kinds of features that aren't obvious at first glance.
Then it ended with him activating the video wallpaper, of a Vista scene with a sunset and a field of grass.... that was waving!
I WANT MY WAVY GRASS!!!!!!
Does the video card count for half your score or something in the performance score?
I get a 2.8 and my system is

The one 512MB USB key I have wasn't up to snuff for this task.

I found this while wibble browsing..
i think vistas a waste
i had RC1 for a bit cause i had to reinstall XP and it wouldnt work so i tried vista and that installed but it somehow managed to install 3 files onto my 2nd hard drive making the drive unusable for XP, it cause an issue with the boot stuff. also the windows repair didnt work (a msg came up saying it didnt know how to preform the operation) also y did they get rid of safe mode, and change the boot manager stuff. at the time, the weather widget didnt work, it said 60F and actuall was 43F. i couldnt stand the permission boxes constantly asking if i wish to perform some action, like installing a prog or deleting a file and being asked like 3 times if i was sure. areo looked cool but would randomly disappear.
the only thing i did like was the windows key+ tab to scroll thru open apps
i'll eventually get vista since i need windows for engineering program i have but would go linux if i had the chance, i'm tired of all the shit that goes wrong with windows
OK... got my Vista Ultimate 64 up and running... its 1:57AM and no Moving Vista Wallpapers available for download... just a download for Texas holdem which i grabbed but it has video glitches on my system.
<sigh>
ok you know whats annoying when you move your my documents to another drive or my pictures, the My documents and my pictures icon changes.... so lame.....also I do not have 5.1 sound with my nforce 4 board.....only 2.0........
You go into My Computer and manually navigate to your secondary drive, find the folders that you have re-directed to. Right click and property those and choose the fancy icon from the list, then the shortcut style 'folders' also change back to what they were.
I found the whole system quite fiddy to be honest. Considering most people would want pictures and video on a separate drive I'm surprised there wasn't a wizard that easily set this up for you. I tried looking in the help files but it didn't mention storing your pics/music on a separate drive at all, or how to change the location of your resource folders. I just had to poke about and do it all manually, folder by folder. Pain in the arse imo.
Whats cool about dreamscene is you can pu pretty much any wmv or mpeg videos on there, I have the HD clip of T2 running as my desktop.

I wish there were more windows movies to choose from, this is a really great feature.
The T2 Ultimate Edition DVD has a HD version included in addition to the DVD version.Man thats just awesome, thanks!.
What do you mean by more to chose from? Is this something you downloaded? I thought you just ripped the dvd and using a portion of it for the video desktop?
my friend who has Vista Ultimate said he used the Magic of flight HD WMV 1080p form this website http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/musicandvideo/hdvideo/contentshowcase.aspx
he said it was cool
