Need Suggestion for x1950pro replacement

I have a x1950pro HIS video card that I am returning because the thing is VERY loud. Don't think the darned thing has a temp sensor on it.

Whats a good card replacement around $200-250?

Computer specs:

Windows Vista Home Prem
Intel 6600
Biostar 965 Motherboard
2x 1GB 800MHz DDR2
Thermaltake 600W Powersupply
 
Rather not take the chance of messing up my card with a faulty installation.
 
its not rocket science. but that's your choice i guess.. i rather spend $30 for a vga cooler instead of $200+

Agree, as I am sure there are quite a few tutorials/reviews on how to install a vga cooler....


If you're happy with you're X1950Pro, why not get one with the HIS Ice Q3 cooler on it?
 
I'm returning the card. It shouldn't be that loud when I buy it. Like its running full blast all the time.
 
umm well since you opted to go with Vista, i say save up some money and at the very least buy an 8800gts...why get vista and not unlock the directx10 capabilities?
