TD: Seagate 320GB SATA $59.99 after 2 $20 MIR's

Even if you don't get the rebates back, the price is not that bad, only a few bucks more than say Newegg (before shipping/tax). Even with tax (FL), I might bite on this.

looks like its a retail drive.
Thus only 1year warrenty.

OEM drives ( if 7200.10) have 5 year warrenty.

So if warrenties are important to you i would pass on this.

EDIT:Looks like it is a OEM drive,, my mistake.

Site indicates otherwise.
Type OEM
Model #ST3320620AS (matches 7200.10)
Limited Warranty:
60 months parts; 60 months labor

Actually it looks like it is indeed an OEM drive.

Specifications:

  • Type: OEM

And:

Important Note: OEM hard drives do not include cables, software, or hardware (screws, brackets, etc.). Full manufacturer's warranty applies.

Also, it looks like the drive itself only has one $20 rebate and the other $20 is off the bundled "trial" of CA Internet Security Suite 2007. So if you buy this make sure to cancel the subscription to the software or else they charge you $69.99.

Edit: Damnit, beat to the punch.

Wow 19 cents per gb. That's so hot. Too bad the internet security rebate is scaring me away. Anybody ever tried one of them?

still wrong, seagate retail drives have a 5 year warranty as well

Yea they were getting confused with Maxtor, which used to have 1 yr warranties on retail and 5 yr on OEM. This has also been changed to 5 and 5.

I want to do this, but I do not want to F with the CA uninstall. And the last rebate I did, I had to send a demand letter to get my money.

I picked up 2 7200.10 320 Gig drives on Black Friday for $59.95 a piece shipped with no rebate from Fry's. If ya got a little patience, then another no rebate deal will swing around.

Yeah man, I'm still kicking myself for not buying more of those! and if you remember they were listed as 300's....

Pretty hot deal. I might pick up one or two of these. I always get my TD rebates back, never had a problem in all my years of dealing with them. You complainers must be doing something wrong or not checking your mail.
